摘要: A low refractive layer includes a plurality of hollow inorganic particles and a matrix between the hollow inorganic particles, and capable of exhibiting a good refractive index and improved durability by enhancing the weight ratio of the hollow inorganic particles to the matrix. An electronic device according to an embodiment of the inventive concept including the low refractive layer may exhibit improved reliability and good display quality.

摘要: A method of vapor depositing a silane chemical onto a wire grid polarizer can include introducing a silane chemical and water into a chamber where the wire grid polarizer is located. The silane chemical and the water can be in a gaseous phase in the chamber. The silane chemical and the water can be maintained simultaneously in the gaseous phase in the chamber for period of time. The silane chemical and the water can react to form a (R1)2Si(OH)2 molecule, where each R1 is independently any chemical element or group. A silane coating can be formed on the wire grid polarizer from a chemical reaction of the (R1)2Si(OH)2 molecule with the wire grid polarizer and with other (R1)2Si(OH)2 molecules. The silane coating can be relatively thick and multi-layer. A thicker or multi-layer silane coating can have improved high temperature resistance relative to a thinner or mono-layer silane coating.

摘要: An antireflection plate has a structure in which a hard coat layer, an antireflective layer having a low refractive index layer, a protective layer, and an overcoat layer are laminated in this order on a transparent resin substrate. The low refractive index layer is a cured body of a curable composition containing 50 to 200 parts by mass of (B-2) hollow silica fine particles, and the low refractive index layer has a refractive index of 1.20 to 1.45. The protective layer is a cured body of a curable composition containing 7.5 to 35 parts by mass of (B-3) spherical silica fine particles, and the protective layer has a thickness of 10 to 15 nm and a refractive index of 1.45 to 1.50. The overcoat layer includes a polymer of a fluorine-containing silicon compound.
