摘要: In a nonwoven fiber assembly which comprises a fiber comprising a thermal adhesive fiber under moisture and in which the fiber are entangled with each other, the fibers are bonded at contacting points of the fibers by melting the thermal adhesive fiber under moisture to distribute the bonded points approximately uniformly, thereby obtaining a buffer substrate. The buffer substrate may further comprises a conjugated fiber comprising a plurality of resins which are different in thermal shrinkage and form a phase separation structure, and the conjugated fibers may have an approximately uniform crimps having an average curvature radius of 20 to 200 μm and are entangled with the fibers constituting the nonwoven fiber assembly. The buffer substrate can be obtained by a method comprising the steps of: forming a web from the fiber comprising the thermal adhesive fiber under moisture; and subjecting the obtained fiber web to a heat and moisture treatment with a high-temperature water vapor to melt the thermal adhesive fiber under moisture for bonding the fibers. The buffer substrate has a high air-permeability, an excellent cushion property and softness.

摘要: Filtration media including at least one layer of nanofibers having average diameters less than 1000 nanometers with optional scrim layer(s) are disclosed for filtering particulate matter in liquid. The media achieve flow rates of at least 0.055 L/min/cm2 at relatively high levels of solidity. The media have also advantageously been found to have non-diminishing flow rates as differential pressures increase between 2 psi (14 kPa) and 15 psi (100 kPa).

摘要: A clothing, in particular for use in a press section of a machine for manufacturing a fibrous web, such as a paper, cardboard, or tissue web, includes a base structure and at least one staple-fiber layer which is disposed on the base structure and is connected thereto. The clothing is assembled from a plurality of strips which are provided in the form of planar formations having a proportion of the base structure and a proportion of the at least one staple-fiber layer. Two mutually opposite edges of the strips have seam loops which are each connected to seam loops of the edges of adjacent strips. The edges having the seam loops are oriented in a cross-machine direction of the clothing. A method for manufacturing a clothing is also provided.

摘要: An extensible apertured nonwoven web, and a method for making such an apertured nonwoven web. In one embodiment the method comprises the steps of providing an apertured nonwoven web, incrementally stretching it in a direction substantially parallel to the cross machine direction, and applying tension in the machine direction such that the web width after applying tension is less than the web width after incremental stretching. In another embodiment the method comprises the steps of providing a nonwoven web; weakening the nonwoven web at a plurality of locations to create a plurality of weakened, melt-stabilized locations; applying a first tensioning force to the nonwoven web to cause the nonwoven web to rupture at the plurality of weakened, melt-stabilized locations creating a plurality of apertures in the nonwoven web coincident with the weakened, melt-stabilized locations, incrementally stretching the nonwoven web in a direction substantially parallel to the cross machine direction, and applying tension in the machine direction such that the web width after applying machine direction tension is less than the web width after incremental stretching. An apparatus for producing a web of the present invention by this method is also disclosed. The extensible apertured nonwoven web produced has a plurality of apertures each having a hole size greater than 2 mm2, and a hole aspect ratio less than 6, the nonwoven web having an open area greater than 15% and being capable of at least 70% extension in the cross machine direction at a loading of 10 g/cm.
