摘要： A piston pump for a traction-controlled hydraulic vehicle braking system includes a pump piston and an annular piston that is arranged as a second piston in a resiliently loaded manner on the pump piston. As the delivery pressure increases, a resilient element is compressed and a stroke of the second piston is shortened so as to reduce a delivery quantity. This configuration enables a higher delivery pressure to be achieved for a given driving force. With low delivery pressure, the pump piston and the second piston deliver together so as to achieve a rapid build-up of pressure.

摘要： A hand pump for inflating rafts or similar inflatables has a first piston with a relatively low pumping volume which is capable of pumping relatively small volumes of air into a raft as the raft becomes full and is approaching its maximum pressure, and a second piston with a larger pumping volume that can pump larger volumes of air into a raft when it is empty or only partially filled. Both pistons are operated with a single plunger. When the plunger is rotated in a first direction to a first position a locking mechanism allows it to operate only the first piston, and when the plunger is rotated in a second direction to a second position the locking mechanism allows it to operate only the second piston.

摘要： A piston proportioning pump for liquids, with a piston in a cylinder, an uptake and discharge valve and an oscillating drive is improved so that the formation of vapor bubbles or of a low pressure during the suction phase is prevented even when the pump space is filled quickly. The dead space of the piston proportioning pump still remains so small that a largely complete expulsion of the proportioned amount through the discharge valve is guaranteed. To this end, provisions are made so that the discharge communicates with the pump space within an uptake valve.

摘要： A hermetic refrigeration rotary motor-compressor comprising a hermetically sealed pressure tight housing can enclosing a compressor unit comprising rotary cylinder-piston and piston elements journaled on eccentrics of two oppositely rotatable shafts, and a motor unit for driving the compressor unit having a rotor mounted on one of the compressor unit shafts, with a stator of the motor unit positioned in operative relation to the rotor of the motor unit. The piston and cylinder-piston form moveable walls, and two axially spaced walls form stationary walls of a compression chamber. An intake charge of refrigerant vapor may cool the motor unit and is admitted into the compression chamber through intake ports and discharged through a system of discharge valves into the discharge line.

摘要： A syringe of the slide piston pump type is adapted to overcome a pressure resistance at its outlet as may be provided, for instance, by a filter in communication with the outlet and through which the syringe is to pump a medium, particularly a liquid medium, for filtration. The syringe comprises a cylinder containing a piston, and a piston rod. The piston rod is fixed to a second piston sliding within a longitudinal bore in the first-mentioned piston. The bore and the second piston cooperate to define an air-filled pressure chamber connected to a cylinder chamber, defined by the first piston and the cylinder, by a valve. Inward movement of the piston rod produces an over-pressure (e.g. 16 atmospheres) in the pressure chamber to open the valve to apply the over-pressure to the liquid or other medium in the cylinder chamber to overcome the pressure resistance of the filter and enable the liquid to be forced through the filter. A safety pressure release is provided to prevent bursting or inadvertent release of the liquid medium.
