摘要: This invention is directed to a drive system using a metal band having a curved bias perpendicular to its long axis. Openings can be included along the band's long axis for receiving pins disposed on a gear. The gear's pins drive the band allowing the energy from the drive gear to both push and pull the band due to the curve bias of the band.

摘要: A film-casting belt is composed of flexible metal of high hardness, especially stainless steel but possibly ordinary steel, copper and nickel, and has a thickness up to about 1 mm. The belt joint is made by butt-welding the ends of the band and a bias such that the weld seam runs at an angle to the direction of movement to the belt which ranges between 2* and 45* but preferably is between 2* and 15*. The weld seam is ground flush with the surface of the belt which has a tolerance + OR - 3 Mu . The curvature of the band, which is maintained under tensions up to 200 tons, may be reversed to facilitate stripping of the synthetic-resin or cellulosic film from the surface.

摘要: Described herein is a motor comprising a first rotatable member and an anchor, spaced apart from the first rotatable member. The motor also comprises a belt, in tension about the first rotatable member and the anchor. The belt is co-rotatably engaged with the first rotatable member. Further, the belt is made from a shape-memory alloy. Additionally, the motor comprises a thermal regulation device, positioned between spaced-apart first and second portions of the belt. The thermal regulation device is also configured to concurrently cool the first portion of the belt to contract the first portion of the belt and heat the second portion of the belt to expand the second portion of the belt. Concurrent contraction and expansion of the first and second portions of the belt cause rotation of the belt.

摘要: A ring for a laminated type metal belt includes: an endless metal ring for configuring a belt by laminating a plurality of the rings. In the structure, the ring is chamfered at each of its inner and outer peripheral corner edges; and the radius of curvature of the chamfered portion of the inner peripheral corner edge of the ring is set to be larger than the radius of curvature of the chamfered portion of the outer peripheral corner edge of the ring.

摘要: The invention relates to a drive belt, in particular suitable for a continuously variable transmission, the configuration of the drive belt being such that the tilting of the transverse elements of the drive belt in the pulley of the continuously variable transmission is largely overcome. The drive belt can be produced in a relatively simple and cheap way, offers a higher efficiency and less wear.
