摘要: The improved pinch valve assembly (10) functions to control the flow of fluids on a fluid system. The improved pinch valve assembly (10) controls plurality of fluid containing tubing (16). When the solenoid coil (22) is energized the plunger (28), which is securely attached to the shaft (31) which has a first pin (18A) and a second pin (18B) securely attached perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shaft (31), moves forward. The forward motion of the shaft (31) causes the first pin (18A) to decompress the first tubing (16A) and the third tubing (16C) permitting fluid to flow therethrough. The forward motion of the shaft (31) further causes the second pin (18B) to also move forward compressing the second tubing (16B) and the fourth tubing (16D) stopping fluid flow. The forward motion of the shaft (31) still further causes the third pin (18C) to compress the helical spring (13). When the solenoid coil (22) is de-energized the plunger (28), which is securely attached to the shaft (31) which has the first pin (18A) and the second pin (18B) securely attached perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shaft (31), moves aft. The aftward motion of the shaft (31) causes the first pin (18A) to compress the first tubing (16A) and the third tubing (16C) stopping fluid to flow therethrough. The aft motion of the shaft (31) further causes the second pin (18B) to also move aft releasing the second tubing (16B) and the fourth tubing (16D) permitting fluid flow. The aftward motion of the shaft (31) still further causes the third pin (18C) to decompress the helical spring (13). The helical spring (13) is biased in its released state to have sufficient force to compress the compress the first tubing (16A) and the third tubing (16C).

摘要: In order to avoid dead volumes in a valve for control of a branch line departing from the main line in a valve chamber located in a valve housing, the valve chamber contains an elastomer part provided with a main channel and a branch channel departing from it, and the two ends of the main channel are sealingly connected with the main lines. The free end of the branch channel is sealingly connected with the branch line, and further that a valve lifter be provided in the valve housing, which acts on the branch channel in the branch-off area directly adjacent to the main channel of the elastomer part, thus reducing the cross-section of the branch channel, which is held in place by a counterpiece in the valve housing.

摘要: A flow control device, such as a valve, has a body with two portions which define two valve chambers, an inlet, which is coupled to a source of pressurized fluid and which opens into one of the valve chambers, and an outlet coupled to downstream devices, such as sprinkler heads, and which opens into the other valve chamber. A piece of collapsible tubing couples the two valve chambers. A shaft extends into the valve and is provided with a mechanism for pinching the collapsible tubing shut which causes the collapsible tubing to collapse due to the pressure exerted on its exterior by the pressurized fluid surrounding it. A coil spring is attached to the shaft and the valve body. When the valve is closed, i.e., the collapsible tubing collapsed, the coil spring is biased to cause the shaft to rotate if released. The shaft is prevented from rotating by a fusible link. When the temperature to which the valve is exposed reaches or exceeds a predetermined temperature, the fusible link melts. This releases the shaft for rotation and the coil spring rotates the shaft which unpinches the collapsible tubing. This permits the collapsible tubing to uncollapse, thus opening the valve.

摘要: A random access rotary pinch valve for controlling fluid flow through a plurality of fluid conduits. The valve is adapted to receive and retain the fluid conduits and includes, for each of the conduits, a toggle mechanism comprising a piston and a toggle. The piston and toggle can be latched to pinch the associated fluid conduit to a non-conducting state or may be latched with the conduit in a fluid conducting state. An actuator arm is selectively positioned over the toggle mechanisms and is displaced so as to actuate the toggles from one state to another, thus changing the state of fluid conduction through the associated flexible conduit. In the embodiment disclosed herein, the fluid conduits are arranged about the periphery of an annular valve body and the actuator arm is pivoted by means of the stepper motor over the toggle mechanisms.
