Abstract:
An arrangement for mounting a tank to a vehicle provides a support structure that can be employed in the same mounting location to mount tanks of different dimensions. The support structure comprises at least one support bracket mounted on a vehicle body. The support bracket comprising two mounting points spaced apart from each other and spaced from the vehicle body. A strap that is tightened to clamp around the tank has two mounts spaced along the length of the strap to connect to the two mounting points respectively. Some rotational movement is allowed where the mounts connect to the mounting points to accommodate tanks with different cross-sectional dimensions.
Abstract:
Fluid storage and dispensing systems, and processes for supplying fluids for use thereof. Various arrangements of fluid storage and dispensing systems are described, involving permutations of the physical sorbent-containing fluid storage and dispensing vessels and internal regulator-equipped fluid storage and dispensing vessels. The systems and processes are applicable to a wide variety of end-use applications, including storage and dispensing of hazardous fluids with enhanced safety. In a specific end-use application, reagent gas is dispensed to a semiconductor manufacturing facility from a large-scale, fixedly positioned fluid storage and dispensing vessel containing physical sorbent holding gas at subatmospheric pressure, with such vessel being refillable from a safe gas source of refill gas, as disclosed herein.
Abstract:
An LNG terminal is disclosed which includes an offshore mooring turret, an LNG storage vessel operatively coupled to the mooring turret, the LNG storage vessel including at least one LNG storage tank for the storage of liquid natural gas and a regasification vessel operatively coupled to the LNG storage vessel. A method of operating an offshore LNG terminal is also disclosed which includes obtaining liquefied natural gas from at least one LNG storage tank on an LNG storage vessel that is operatively coupled to a mooring turret, regasifying the liquefied natural gas from the LNG storage vessel using a regasification vessel operatively coupled to the LNG storage vessel, and supplying the regasified gas to at least one subsea pipeline via the mooring turret.
Abstract:
Apparatus for transferring cryogenic fluid from a first vessel (5) to a second vessel in an offshore environment. The apparatus includes a semi-submersible floating dock with variable buoyancy structure (14, 15) operable to alter the draught of the dock, enabling it to be lowered in the water and raised again to engage the dock with the second vessel. A single point mooring system (3) is attached to the dock. At least one rigid cryogenic pipeline is attached between the first vessel and the dock via flexible connections. A structure (12) for transferring cryogenic fluid from the dock to the second vessel.
Abstract:
A device for transferring a product between a ship and a fixed installation. The device is supported at one end by a support structure and the other end is capable of being connected to the ship's manifold. The support structure includes a boom carrying a transfer pipe, rotatable about a vertical axis above the ship, and a deformable transfer device, one end of which is connected to the pipe, and the other end is mobile between a stowed position proximate the boom and a position for connection to the ship's manifold. The invention is useful for transferring liquefied natural gas.
Abstract:
Substantially rectangular-shaped tanks are provided for storing liquefied gas, which tanks are especially adapted for use on land or in combination with bottom-supported offshore structure such as gravity-based structures (GBS). A tank according to this invention is capable of storing fluids at substantially atmospheric pressure and has a plate cover adapted to contain fluids and to transfer local loads caused by contact of said plate cover with said contained fluids to a grillage of stiffeners and stringers, which in turn is adapted to transfer the local loads to an internal truss frame structure. Methods of constructing these tanks are also provided.

Abstract:
The invention concerns a system comprising a device (11) for transferring the product between the ship and the installation, which is supported at one end by a support structure and whereof the other end is capable of being connected to the ship's manifold device (8). The system is characterised in that the support structure comprises a berth (5) the ship, a boom (8) carrying a transfer pipe (10), and mounted on the berth (5), rotatable about a vertical axis above the ship, and a deformable transfer device (11) one end of which is connected to the pipe (10), while the other end is mobile between a stowed position advantageously proximate to the boom (8) and a position for connection to the ship's manifold device (15). The invention is useful for transferring liquefied natural gas.
