摘要: An improved industrial automation system and communication system for implementation therein, and related methods of operation, are described herein. In at least some embodiments, the improved communication system allows communication in the form of messages between modules in different control or enterprise domains. Further, in at least some embodiments, such communications are achieved by providing a communication system including a manufacturing service bus having two internal service busses with a bridge between the internal busses. Also, in at least some embodiments, a methodology of synchronous messaging is employed.

摘要: There is described a method and system for using at least one variable of a first automation system in a second automation system, with the variable being made available by the first automation system. An object is to allow a user to program access to a local and remote variable in an identical manner, without having to program special access functions, set up connections and apply a local variable to take up the variable value or to create additional assignment tables and similarly apply the local variable. This object is achieved with a method and system of the type mentioned above, in that an identification feature is used for the unique identification of the variable in the at least second automation system, said identification feature being hierarchically structured and having a system-specific path name and a name for the variable.

A memory member (9) adapted to store important data required for describing and defining the process of the process equipment is arranged in the process equipment itself. The arrangement (1) is provided with a rule data base (8) and a text data base (7) containing a configuration file for communication between the process equipment and the arrangement through the second interface by utilising a general process application protocol and a text file, respectively, adapted to the format of said data in the memory member of the process equipment.

The modules also communicate with each other via a messaging service (21, 40) so that data can be routed between components (22-24, 42, 43, 45) of different modules using the Push mechanism. A Graphical data object (GDO) server (25, 45, 46) downloads applet instances to user browsers in response to the browser addressing a URL. The applet generates an output display in chart form of real time processed data.

摘要: A modular digital robot control includes an electronic arm interface board provided with circuitry for performing robot arm dependent functions. Included are circuitry for generating power amplifier control signals in response to input voltage command signals and circuitry for processing and manipulating position, velocity and motor current feedback signals.An electronic torque processor board is provided with paired torque microprocessors for operating each of respective torque control loops for respective robot joint motors. The torque microprocessors generate the voltage commands in response to input torque commands and feedback motor current signals.An electronic servo control board is provided with paired position/velocity microprocessors for operating position and velocity control loops for the respective joint motors. The position/velocity microprocessors generate the torque commands in response to input position commands and feedback position and velocity signals. The servo control board further includes system resource facilities providing general support for the operation of the microprocessors and includes a DMC controller and two asynchronous controllers for communications interfacing with local input/output devices and other systems and devices.When executed in one of the position/velocity microprocessors, a stored motion program uses trajectory planning and interpolation to generate position commands in accordance with predefined moves set forth in a robot program. The servo control, torque processor and arm interface boards are interconnected to provide a complete basic control for the robot joint motors. An optional fourth electronic board can be connected to the basic control. It is called a system board and it includes paired system microprocessors that execute the motion program enabling the expanded control to provide extended robot control performance.
