Abstract: A method for the infrastructure-supported assistance of a motor vehicle. The method includes: receiving surroundings signals which are representative of surroundings of the motor vehicle; analyzing the surroundings in order to determine a traffic situation, in which the motor vehicle is located; determining a suggestion for a traffic-directing traffic control measure for the infrastructure-supported assistance of the motor vehicle for an operator based on the determined traffic situation; outputting suggestion signals which are representative of the determined suggestion. A device, a computer program and a machine-readable storage medium are also described.

Abstract: A method for avoiding accidents at an intersection system, in particular in the context of automated driving. The method includes: receiving a transmitted traffic light signal, wherein the traffic light signal represents current traffic light phase of a traffic light of the intersection system and an associated lane, i.e., a lane assigned to the traffic light; detecting a traffic flow which crosses the traffic flow controlled by the traffic light signal, and ascertaining characterizing data of the crossing traffic flow; generating an object list from the characterizing data; evaluating the object list as to whether anomalies of one or more objects of the object list exist with respect to the transmitted traffic light signal; and outputting a warning if an anomaly is determined.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system and a method for estimating a future traffic density in an environment. The method comprises receiving, for at least one object in the environment, at least one partial trajectory and a sequence of observation vectors. The at least one object is represented by a plurality of particles. The method comprises processing the at least one partial trajectory with a trajectory prediction model to predict a location of each particle of the plurality of particles at a future time instant and processing the sequence of observation vectors with an entering particle prediction model to predict a probability of observing an entering particle at each ingress point at the future time instant. The future traffic density is estimated based on the predicted location of each particle and the predicted probability of observing the entering particle at each ingress point at the future time instant.

Abstract: A vehicle trouble handling system 100 includes a trouble detection unit M11 that detects occurrence of trouble relating to travelling of a vehicle 10 in the vehicle 10, a trouble information transmission unit M13 that acquires trouble information relating to the trouble detected by the trouble detection unit M11, a countermeasure generation unit M15 that generates a countermeasure corresponding to the trouble detected by the trouble detection unit M11 on the basis of the trouble information acquired by the trouble information transmission unit M13, and a countermeasure implementation unit M17 that implements processing corresponding to the countermeasure generated by the countermeasure generation unit M15.

Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting vehicle behavior patterns in real-time. One embodiment is a method of continuous vehicle behavior detection. The method includes receiving a vehicle behavior profile including one or more travel patterns that define a vehicle behavior, receiving track data of one or more vehicles, hashing the track data as it is received to generate hash values that uniquely identify cells that approximate locations of the one or more vehicles, and storing the hash values in a hash library. The method also includes analyzing the hash library as the hash values are stored to compare the cells with the one or more travel patterns in the vehicle behavior profile, and in response to determining a group of the cells match the one or more travel patterns, generating a message indicating the vehicle behavior is detected.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a method, a system, and a computer program product for predicting traffic information for at least one map tile area. The method comprises obtaining probe data and map attribute data for each of a plurality of road segments in the at least one map tile area. The method may include generating current traffic condition data for each of the plurality of road segments in the at least one map tile area based on the obtained probe data and the obtained map attribute data. The method may further include obtaining historical traffic pattern data associated with each of the plurality of road segments in the at least one map tile area. The method may further include generating a tile based traffic index (TTI) for the at least one map tile area based on aggregating the current traffic condition data and the historical traffic pattern data of the plurality of road segments in the at least one map tile area and providing TTI and predicting the traffic information for the at least one map tile area based on the generated tile based traffic index (TTI).
