    摘要: A music production apparatus includes a melody data storage operative to store music data for a plurality of melody elements forming music, a condition storage operative to store a condition for combining melody elements and a condition related to an attribute applicable when playing the melody element, an element selector operative to determine, at a predetermined point of time, whether a melody element should be allocated to a track where no melody elements are allocated, and to select, when it is determined that a melody element should be allocated to the track, a melody element that should be allocated to the track by referring to the condition for combining melody elements stored in the condition storage, an attribute determination unit operative to determine an attribute applicable when playing the selected melody element, and a sound production unit operative to read music data for the selected melody element from the melody data storage, to apply the attribute determined by the attribute determination unit, and to produce a sound signal that should be output to a speaker, using the music data for the melody element allocated to the track.

    摘要: For respective sampling data of waveform data of sounds to be coded, a prediction residual value is calculated as sampling residual data, and an effective bit length is calculated from this residual waveform data. Then, for the effective bit length data, a maximum effective bit length among processing targets is generated as common effective actual data, and coded data in which this common effective actual data and information indicating the common effective bit length are arranged in a predetermined configuration format are generated. The information included in the coded data is analyzed and each of the plurality of the common effective bit information is extracted. Then, waveform data of the sounds are decoded by performing inverse linear prediction processing from an analysis result on the residual waveform data decompressed by performing bit extension which adds a portion other than the common effective bit length.

    摘要: In response to detection of a note-on instruction, a CPU assigns a tone generating unit comprising two tone generating channels and sets tone color control data of the assigned tone generating unit into tone generator registers. The tone color control data includes a parameter common to the two channels. Once the CPU gives a tone generation start instruction to a tone generator, the tone generator accumulates a frequency number common to the two channels to thereby generate a progressive phase common to the two channels. Waveform readout section reads out left-channel and right-channel waveform data from a waveform memory on the basis of the phase and waveform selecting information of the left and right channels. Tone characteristics of the read-out left- and right-channel waveform data are controlled by a characteristic control section on the basis of a characteristic control parameter common to the two channels.

    摘要: With no interrupt to a CPU, waveform data stored in a NAND-type flash memory are read out on a page-by-page basis to supply a buffer of a waveform memory with waveform sample data. A series of waveform data are prestored in successive pages of the intermediate buffer capable of high-speed page access thereto. Page number of a page to be read out first is set, and that page is read into a buffer in advance. Before completion of readout of the first page, another page to be read out next is loaded into the buffer. After that, the page number is incremented by one each time readout of one page is completed, and the waveform sample data of the page number continue to be reproduced while being read into the buffer.

The music data file comprises a plurality of music data units. Each music data unit records related information of the music. The music synthesis system comprises a wavetable, a memory, a music analyzer, a wavetable preprocessor, and a synthesizer. The wavetable pre-stores the digital sampling data. The memory has a predetermined memory capacity for storing data. The music analyzer receives the music data file, analyzes the music data units of the music data file, and generates a corresponding analysis result. The wavetable preprocessor selects the digital sampling data with relatively greater importance in the wavetable and stores the selected digital sampling data in the memory. The synthesizer selects the digital sampling data from the memory and synthesizes the digital music output.
