    摘要: The object of the invention is a thermal overload protection device (22) for protecting an electric component (10), in particular an electronic component, wherein the overload protection device (22) has a short-circuit unit (24) for short-circuiting connections (12, 14) of the component (10), and an actuating member (26) actuating the short-circuit unit (24) in a temperature sensitive manner. According to the invention it is provided that the short-circuit unit (24) is attached to a circuit path support (16) in at least one area (28), and is supported in at least another area (30) on the component (10) disposed on the circuit path support (16) via the actuating unit (26), and/or at least one of the circuit paths (18, 20) contacting one of the connections (12, 14) to be short-circuited.The invention further relates to a respective arrangement (36) having a circuit path support (16), at least one component (10) disposed thereupon, and at least one assigned overload protection device (22).

    摘要: A first-switch-actuation-polarity power is applied to a first-switch actuation line, the first polarity being defined relative to a first voltage on a first-switch-actuation-enable line, causing the first switch to actuate and remain actuated after the applied first-switch-actuation-polarity power is removed. Actuating the first switch couples a first-switch power input line to a first-switch power output line and the first-switch power input line to the first-switch enable line. The first-switch enable line is coupled to a second-switch actuation enable line on a second switch. Second-switch-actuation polarity power is applied to the second-switch actuation line on the second switch, the second polarity being defined relative to a voltage on the second-switch actuation enable line and being opposite of the first polarity, causing the second switch to actuate and remain actuated after the applied second-switch-actuation-polarity power is removed and coupling a second-switch power input line to a second-switch power output line.

    摘要: An overvoltage protection element with a housing, an overvoltage-limiting component arranged in the housing, and with two connection elements for electrically connecting the overvoltage protection element to the current or signal path to be protected, wherein, normally, the connection elements are each in electrically conductive contact with a pole of the overvoltage-limiting component. Reliable and effective electrical connection in the normal state and reliable isolation of a defective overvoltage-limiting component are ensured by the fact that a thermally expandable material is arranged within the housing in a way that, in the event of thermal overloading of the overvoltage-limiting component, the position of the overvoltage-limiting component is changed by expansion of the thermally expandable material relative to the position of the connection elements in a way that causes at least one pole of the overvoltage-limiting component to be out of electrically conductive contact with the corresponding connection element.

The electrical connecting structure may include a fusible ring that releases a piston, or an insulative thermoretractable sheet that retracts.
