摘要: A device for purifying at least one fluid is provided. The device includes at least a first ion exchange column, an inlet line and an outlet line. The inlet line and the outlet line are associated with a cover part, the inlet line is connected to a first supply line into a first free space between a bottom part and at least one nozzle insert, which is formed as a first bottom nozzle insert, and the nozzle insert has a number of openings for the passage of the fluid. The openings are distributed over at least a partial surface of the nozzle insert, by which the fluid can be introduced into a first volume of the ion exchange column which can be filled with an ion exchange resin.

摘要: A water softening device for use for a pet is provided, comprising: a first chamber having a shape of a hollow container; a second chamber having a shape of a hollow container, the second chamber being detachably attached to an upper section inside the first chamber; and a filter cartridge having a plurality of openings and containing an ion exchange resin therein, the filter cartridge being detachably attached to a bottom section of the second chamber and positioned to protrude from the bottom section of the second chamber to a lower section inside the first chamber. The second chamber is configured to receive and contain first water including tap water, and the lower section inside the first chamber is configured to receive and contain second water that is the first water after passing through the filter cartridge based on gravity.

摘要: A vessel for removing radionuclides from a liquid. The vessel comprises a shielded housing comprising an outer shell and an inner shell disposed within the outer shell. The housing defines an ion exchange chamber between the inner and outer shells. The vessel also comprises an inlet fluidly coupled with the ion exchange chamber, the inlet being configured for fluid communication with a source of the liquid, and an outlet fluidly coupled with the ion exchange chamber, the outlet being configured for fluid communication with a destination of the liquid. The vessel further comprises a first fluid passage extending between an exterior of the vessel and the inner shell and a second fluid passage extending between the exterior of the vessel and the inner shell.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a method of preparing a synthetic crystalline material, designated as JMZ-12, with a framework built up by the disorder AEI and CHA structures, substantially free of framework phosphorous and prepared preferably in the absence of halides such as fluoride ions. Such method comprises the step of heating a reaction mixture under crystallization conditions for a sufficient period to form a disordered zeolite having both CHA and AEI topologies, wherein the reaction mixture comprises at least one source of aluminum, at least one source of silicon, a source of alkaline or alkaline-earth cations, and a structure directing agent containing at least one source of quaternary ammonium cations and at least one source of alkyl-substituted piperidinium cations in a molar ratio of 0.20 to about 1.4. The resulting zeolites are useful as catalysts, particularly when used in combination with exchanged transition metal(s) and, optionally, rare earth metal(s).

摘要: Multipart functionalized materials are shown that remove sulfites from beverages and in particular wine. The functionalized materials consist of a solid support material having the ability to link polycarbonyls or polyamines thereto. The polycarbonyls and polyamines remove free and bound sulfites when put in contact with the beverage. The polycarbonyl and polyamine functionalized materials can be used separately or mixed together for accomplishing sulfite removal.

摘要: Treating a non-wine alcoholic beverage including: exposing the non-wine alcoholic beverage to an ion exchange matrix. The ion exchange matrix includes a mixture of cation exchange media and anion exchange media that includes: (1) cation exchange media that are in hydrogen form, (2) cation exchange media that are in mineral form comprising potassium mineral form, (3) anion exchange media that are in hydroxide form, and (4) anion exchange media that are in chloride mineral form. The exposing results in: binding ions of the mixture to one or more cationic or anionic constituents present in the pretreated beverage, reducing concentrations of the one or more cationic or anionic constituents in the beverage and maintaining a conductivity value of the treated beverage equal to or greater than the pretreated beverage's conductivity value. An apparatus for treating a non-wine alcoholic beverage and a treated non-wine alcoholic beverage prepared by a process are also disclosed.
