The invention relates to a bracing ply comprising reinforcing elements, which are made of steel cords, for a vehicle pneumatic tire, in particular, for a pneumatic tire used on transporters or light trucks and reinforced pneumatic tires. Said bracing ply is provided with two steel cord plies (bracing plies) which are stacked in a radial direction, whereby the radially inner steel cord ply is wider in the axial direction of the tire than the radially outer steel cord ply. In addition, the individual steel cords of a ply run diagonally with a slope ranging from 18null to 25null with regard to the zenithal plane of the tire. The radially inner and the radially outer steel cord plies have opposed slopes, are comprised of individual filaments with a filament diameter of 0.32 mm, and are provided with a UnullT structure (untwistednulltwisted), whereby the radial distance between steel cord plies is smaller in the zenithal plane of the tire than in the shoulder areas.

This invention relates to the preparation of a multi-layered rubber composite, said composite and a tire having a component prepared thereby. The multi-layered rubber composite is composed of at least two individual rubber compositions configured as at least three parallel aligned alternating rubber layers, wherein each rubber layer extends through the rubber composite thickness from one side to the other opposing side. The multi-layered rubber composite is prepared by co-extruding at least two individual rubber compositions, via an individual extruder for each rubber composition, to an internal cavity of a former. Said former is comprised of an internal cavity which contains a sequence of flow deflectors and channels for guiding the at least two individual rubber compositions to form said multi-layered rubber composite in a single manufacturing step.

High concentration drag reducing agents may be prepared by microencapsulating and/or macroencapsulating polymer drag reducing agent. The encapsulation may be performed prior to, during, or after the polymerization of monomer into effective drag reducing polymer. If encapsulation is done before or during polymerization, a catalyst may be present, but little or no solvent is required. The result is very small scale bulk polymerization within the capsule. The inert capsule or shell may be removed before, during or after introduction of the encapsulated drag reducer into a flowing liquid. No injection probes or other special equipment is expected to be required to introduce the drag reducing slurry into the liquid stream, nor is grinding (cryogenic or otherwise) of the polymer necessary to form a suitable drag reducing agent.
