Abstract:
A method of producing a thiol group-containing polymer includes reacting bis(2-chloroethyl) formal with sodium hydrosulfide, wherein the thiol group-containing polymer is represented by general formula: HS—(R—Sr)n—R—SH where R is an organic group including a —C2H4—O—CH2—O—C2H4— structure, n is an integer of from 1 to 200, r is an integer of from 1 to 5, and the average value of r is 1.1 or more and lower than 1.8, and wherein the thiol group-containing polymer is a liquid polymer.
Abstract:
A thiol group-containing polymer represented by: HS—(R—Sr)n—R—SH wherein R is an organic group including a —O—CH2—O— bond and a branched alkylene group, n is an integer of from 1 to 200, r is an integer of from 1 to 5, an average value of r is 1.1 or more and lower than 1.8, and the thiol group-containing polymer is a liquid at room temperature and has a specific gravity at 23° C. of 1.20 to 1.27.
Abstract:
A thiol group-containing polymer is represented by HS—(R—Sr)n—R—SH, wherein R is an organic group including a —O—CH2—O— bond and/or a branched alkylene group, n is an integer of from 1 to 200, r is an integer of from 1 to 5, and the average value of r is 1.1 or more and 1.8 or less. A curable composition using the thiol group-containing polymer can be used in sealants, adhesives, paints and the like, which require properties such as a low specific gravity, a low viscosity and a low glass transition temperature.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a compound which imparts a sufficient water repellency and a suitable oil repellency to substrates such as a fiber, a paper, a wood material, a hide, a leather, a resin, a glass, a metal, etc. The compound of the present invention is a fluoroalkylcarboxylic acid of the general formula (I), and its derivative of the general formula (II) (e.g. fluoroalkyl alcohol, fluoroalkyl carboxylic acid chloride, fluoroalkylcarboxylic acid amide and fluoroalkylamine). ##STR1##
Abstract:
There are described water soluble azo compounds conforming to the formula (1)D--N.dbd.N--K (1)where D is a radical of the formula (2), (2a) or (2b) ##STR1##where Y is a substituent which is eliminable by alkali to form a vinyl group, Y.sup.2 has one of the meanings of Y or is hydroxyl, X is chlorine or bromine, and R is hydrogen, lower alkyl, phenyl or halogen, and K is a radical of a singly couplable coupling component which may additionally contain an azo group, or the radical of a doubly couplable coupling component. The compounds of the formula (1) have fiber-reactive properties and are very highly suitable for use as dyes for dyeing hydroxy- and/or carboxamido-containing material, in particular fiber material, for example cellulose-fiber materials, wool and synthetic polyamide fibers, in strong, fast shades. There are also described novel starting compounds of the formulae (7), (7a) and (7b) ##STR2##where Y.sup.2, X and R are each as defined above, x is zero or 2 and W is nitro or amino. The aniline compounds of the formula (7) obtainable from the compounds of the formula (7) where W is nitro by reduction of the nitro group can be used as diazo component for preparing the azo compounds of the formula (1).
Abstract:
The reaction of allyl bromo- or chloro-difluoroacetates with monochlorisilanes in the presence of zinc with heating gives silyl esters of .alpha.,.alpha.-difluoro-.gamma.,.delta.-pentenoic acids. The free acids, from which acid derivatives can be prepared by conventional methods, are obtained by hydrolysis. The pentenoic acids and pentenoic acid derivatives are suitable for the preparation of polymers and copolymers, from which metal-organic polymers and copolymers having catalytic properties are obtainable.
