    摘要: The present teaching aims to provide: a cam angle sensor fault diagnosis apparatus for straddled vehicle, capable of detecting a fault of a cam angle sensor installed in a straddled vehicle and guessing a fault place; an engine system; and a straddled vehicle. A cam angle sensor fault diagnosis apparatus for straddled vehicle includes: a cam signal receiving unit connected to a signal output line through which a cam angle sensor outputs a cam signal in accordance with the rotation angle, the cam signal receiving unit being configured to receive a cam signal via the signal output line; a state determination unit that determines one or two fault states of the cam angle sensor from a disconnection state, a power supply fault state, and a ground fault state, distinguishably from the other fault states, in accordance with a signal level of a cam signal received by the cam signal receiving unit; and a signal output unit that outputs a fault signal representing the one or two fault states determined by the state determination unit, in such a manner that the fault signal representing the one or two fault states is different from a fault signal representing the other fault states.

The device includes, but is not limited to: the control valve which is an intake air throttle valve provided in the intake air-gas system provided in the intake air-gas system of the engine to control the flow rate of intake air to the engine, or an EGR valve provided in the intake air-gas system of the engine to control the flow rate of EGR gas to the engine; and a control unit which determines a target opening of the control valve in response to the operation conditions of the engine, and controls the opening of the control valve so that the opening conforms with the target opening.

    摘要: In an internal combustion engine, an ignition plug is arranged near a center of an upper wall surface of a combustion chamber, and is used to ignite air-fuel mixture. Fuel injected from a port fuel injection valve is directed toward the center of the combustion chamber when the intake valve is open. The engine is configured to generate a tumble flow in a cylinder. A flow speed of gas around the ignition plug during ignition is controlled by changing a pattern of tumble flow between an ordinary first tumble flow pattern and a different second tumble flow pattern on the basis of an engine rotation speed. The tumble flow having the second pattern is generated by overlapping a fuel injection period of the port fuel injection valve with the open period of the intake valve.
