Abstract: A pressing mechanism for miscellaneous packs dispensing fluidic products comprising a capsular body in which a hollow actuator stem is slidably mounted to perform downward and upward movements with the outflow and backflow provided by a bellows with an elastic memory. An upper end of the bellows is coupled to a corresponding part of the actuator stem by a locking ring, and is also coupled to a button/nozzle, while the lower end of the bellows is supported on the capsular body. The actuator stem is slidably guided by an annular cap, below which the lower end of the actuator stem is coupled to a piston and a first check valve, which, together with a second check valve, allows the actuation of the actuator stem.

Abstract: Hemodialysis and similar dialysis systems including a variety of systems and methods that make hemodialysis more efficient, easier, and/or more affordable, and include new fluid circuits for fluid flow in hemodialysis systems and a reciprocating diaphragm pump for pumping fluids. The reciprocating diaphragm pump includes a flexible diaphragm, a first rigid body having a curved pumping chamber wall, a second rigid body having an opposing curved control chamber wall. The diaphragm is interposed between the pumping chamber wall and the control chamber wall to define a pumping chamber and a control chamber. The diaphragm of the pump has a peripheral bead arranged to locate the diaphragm between the first rigid body and the second rigid body and a diaphragm body having a curved, semi-spheroid or domed shape. The diaphragm is pre-formed or molded so that during a delivery stroke of the pump, the elastic force of the diaphragm resisting its deployment into the pumping chamber prevents a peripheral portion of the diaphragm body from fully contacting the pumping chamber wall.

Abstract: A bellows pump device includes a control unit which, before operation of the bellows pump device is started, performs initial control in which solenoid valves are switched and pressurized air is supplied to suction-side air chambers in advance, thereby determining operation air pressures which are air pressures of the pressurized air to be supplied to the suction-side air chambers during the operation. As the initial control, the control unit outputs control commands to electropneumatic regulators so as to gradually increase the air pressures of the pressurized air to be supplied to the suction-side air chambers in advance, and when detection signals resulting from detection of expansion positions of the bellows are inputted from the proximity sensors to the control unit, the control unit determines the air pressures of the pressurized air supplied to the suction-side air chambers at that time as the operation air pressures.

Abstract: A vacuum pump includes a hollow container that has a vacuum port and internal chamber walls. The vacuum port opens to an exterior of the container and the chamber walls define chambers that are in fluid communication with the vacuum port. There are flexible bladders disposed in the chambers. The flexible bladders include vents that open through the container to the exterior. A plunger in the container includes arms that extend into the chambers such that each of the flexible bladders is situated between one of the arms and one of the chamber walls. The plunger is moveable between a home position and an upstroke position to compress and deflate the flexible bladders via the vents and thereby change the volume of the flexible bladders. The change in the volume draws a vacuum through the vacuum port.

Abstract: Described are fluid pumping and fluid handling systems, which may be suitable for use in medical devices, such as artificial or extracorporeal blood pumping systems. The systems can include a dual housing configuration for pneumatic actuation comprising a main housing containing a pump cassette comprising a pneumatically actuated pump and pneumatically actuated valves. The pump can include a pump actuation chamber and pump pneumatic port, and the valves can each include a valve actuation chamber and valve pneumatic port. Connecting tubes can be used to fluidly connect the pump actuation ports and valve actuation ports to a tube-support housing having a first side receiving one end of each connecting tube and a second side providing a pneumatic interface arranged to connect to an array of pneumatic receptacles on a base unit of the system to facilitate easy, compact and accurate pneumatic interconnection between the pump cassette and the base unit.

Abstract: A bellows includes a bellows structure portion on a tubular member. An internal space of the tubular member to an internal space of a fuel tank by the coupling port of the bellows. The bellows structure portion includes a first portion, a second portion, and a coupling portion. The first portion protrudes outward in the radial direction of the tubular member. The second portion is recessed inward in the radial direction relative to the first portion. In a cross section along the central axis of the tubular member, each of the first portion and the second portion is formed in an arc shape and the coupling portion makes the first portion couple to the second portion without any singularity. Here, the central angle of each of the first portion and the second portion of the bellows structure portion is greater than 180 degrees. With the result that the length of the bellows structure portion in the axial direction is increased over a predetermined range without the outermost diameter of the first portion and the innermost diameter of the second portion being significantly changed.

Abstract: A fluid pump includes a pump body with a manual operation bulb or a power supply unit provided on an upper end and an inlet and an outlet provided on both sides of a liquid passage. A suction pipe connected to the inlet of the pump body includes a bendable part between an upper suction pipe part and a lower suction pipe part which are formed in a rigid rod shape. A discharge hose shaped as a bellows tube is connected to the outlet of the pump body. A pipe sleeve has ends partially fitted into the upper suction pipe part and the lower suction pipe part. It is installed on the outer circumferential surface of the suction pipe and shaped as a cylinder or a “C” with one end cut out from the cylinder to facilitate moving its position from the bending part to the upper suction pipe part.

Abstract: A pumping cassette including a housing having at least two inlet fluid lines and at least two outlet fluid lines. At least one balancing pod within the housing and in fluid connection with the fluid paths. The balancing pod balances the flow of a first fluid and the flow of a second fluid such that the volume of the first fluid equals the volume of the second fluid. The balancing pod also includes a membrane that forms two balancing chambers. Also included in the cassette is at least two reciprocating pressure displacement membrane pumps. The pumps are within the housing and they pump the fluid from a fluid inlet to a fluid outlet line and pump the second fluid from a fluid inlet to a fluid outlet.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for inflating fishing bait is disclosed. The apparatus is comprised of a compressible air reservoir, and needle, wherein a distal end of the needle is operably coupled to the compressible air reservoir. A proximal end of the needle terminates in a dull hollow rectangular prism. There is a continuous air passage between the dull hollow rectangular prism of the needle and the compressible air reservoir. The compressible air reservoir has a vent such that it can refill with air while the continuous air passage through the needle is obstructed. The vent can be covered up by a hand of a user when the apparatus is in use.
