A mixing device mixes the two progressive waves of said ring-shaped laser, a detecting device coupled to the output of said mixing device detects the beat frequency of the two progressive waves and a control device coupled between the output of detecting device and the current inputs of the ring-shaped laser and responsive to the beat frequency causes the input current to the ring-shaped laser to create an effect therein equal to, in magnitude, and opposite to, in direction, to the Fizeau effect.

摘要： An antenna system and a corresponding method for satellite lock-on applied to vehicles automatically lock on at least one satellite in the space by means of a lock-on signal. The technique features on a scan driving signal that initiates a space scan of the antenna system so as to obtain a scan data. According to peak values of the scan data, coordinates of a plurality of satellites in the space are realized and individually recorded. Then, after receiving a lock-on signal, the satellite coordinate of the satellite to be locked is retrieved so as to drive the antenna to point at the satellite to be locked.

摘要： A calibration method suitable for highly precise and highly accurate surface metrology measurements is described. In preferred embodiments, an optical inspection tool including a movable optics system is characterized in terms of position and wavelength dependent quantities over a range of motion. Once the position-dependant quantities are determined at various wavelengths and positions, they are stored and used to interpret data from test wafers having an unknown metrology. Free of position-dependent variations and other information pertaining to the measurement system, the accuracy of the resulting wafer measurement more closely matches the precision of the tool than existing techniques. In particular embodiments, a portion of the characterization of the optical system is accomplished by using tilted black glass to provide a non-reflective reference.

The apparatus comprises a support pedestal for supporting the wafer, first and second coplanar electrodes in the support pedestal for creating a chucking force, a cathode electrode for establishing wafer processing conditions and a third gap fill electrode positioned vertically between the first and second electrodes, such that the gap fill electrode is radially coincident with the gap between the first and second electrodes. A method of making the wafer retaining apparatus may comprise the steps of depositing electrode layers over molten, drawn sapphire layers to form a unitary bipolar electrostatic chuck having a gap fill electrode spaced between a pair of bipolar chucking electrodes and an RF powered electrode and radially coincident with the gap between the bipolar chucking electrodes.

摘要： An electrostatic discharge protection device is disclosed which selectively shunts charge accumulation across electrical conductors emplaced within the device housing. A grounding element is provided on the housing surface which maintains electrical contact with the enclosed electrical conductors so as to form a shorting shunt and place the conductors at substantially similar electrical potentials. The grounding element may be reversibly changed from the operative into an inoperative position to remove the grounding element from electrical contact with the electrical conductors.
