    摘要: A circuit for processing radio frequency signals. The circuit includes a substrate where the circuit can be placed. The substrate can be a meta-material and can incorporate at least one dielectric layer. A four port circuit and at least one ground can be coupled to the substrate. The dielectric layer can include a first region with a first set of substrate properties and a second region with a second set of substrate properties. Substrate properties can include permittivity and permeability. A substantial portion of the four port circuit can be coupled to the second region. The permittivity and/or permeability of the second region can be higher than the permittivity and/or permeability of the first region. The increased permittivities and/or permeabilities can reduce a size of the four port circuit and effect a change in a variety of electrical characteristics associated with the four port circuit.

    摘要: The invention concerns an impedance transforming device that includes a dielectric circuit board substrate. The substrate has at least one region that has a relative permeability or a relative permittivity different from a remaining portion of the substrate. In order to control the permeability and permittivity, in this way, meta-materials can be used to selectively modify portions of the substrate. A transmission line transformer is disposed on the substrate and coupled to the region.

    摘要: In an impedance matching device having at least two stubs serially provided to a main coaxial tube so as to be separated from each other with a predetermined interval in a tube axial direction, each stub is composed of a variable capacity capacitor to be jointed to an inner conductor of the main coaxial tube, an electrically conductive capacitor cover to be jointed to an outer conductor of the main coaxial tube so as to cover a surrounding of the variable capacity capacitor, and a drive motor arranged on an outside of the capacitor cover so as to drive a movable side electrode of the variable capacity capacitor. The movable side electrode of the variable capacity capacitor is driven directly by the drive motor so that the impedance matching device is made to be compact and response of impedance matching to a fluctuation of a load impedance such as a behavior of a plasma load is improved, and the life is lengthened and degrees of freedom of installation is widened.

    摘要: In a dielectric transmission line device and a radio device using a dielectric transmission line device, an output matching circuit is constructed in a simplified fashion and an output signal of a frequency multiplier is output via a dielectric transmission line. The frequency multiplier is constructed in a small form in the dielectric transmission line device so as to obtain a dielectric transmission line device with a small total size and also obtain a small-sized high-efficiency radio device using such a dielectric transmission line device as a transmission line for transmitting a transmission signal. An input matching circuit is disposed between an input terminal and an FET for generating a harmonic. An open-ended transmission line is also provided which is coupled with an electromagnetic field of a dielectric transmission line in the form of a dielectric strip.

    摘要: An apparatus for matching the impedance of an RF generator to the impedance of an RF load, for use in manufacturing semiconductor devices by using a plasma. The apparatus includes a variable inductor coupled to a variable capacitor and an invariable capacitor, the variable inductor having two inductors coupled electrically with each other in series and disposed adjacent to each other. At least one of the two inductors is disposed movably to make the magnetic flux of the one inductor interfere with the magnetic flux of the other inductor, thereby to control the inductance of the variable inductor. In the case of a plasma enhanced semiconductor wafer processing system, the apparatus can reduce the time necessary to achieve an RF match between the RF generator and the RF load, thereby increasing the life of the apparatus.

The receiving circuit is connectable to a signal source having a source impedance through a DC (direct current) blocking capacitor. The value of the equalization capacitor is chosen such that voltage spikes otherwise caused by the blocking capacitor are eliminated. The receiving circuit is especially useful in distributed electronic amplifiers and electro-optic modulators.
