摘要: Various implementations disclosed herein improve the appearance of captured video by accounting for motion-induced blur, noise, lighting, and/or other factors related to the appearance of video captured by rotating or otherwise moving wearable electronic device. Some implementations reduce or eliminate camera motion blur during video capture by dynamically adjusting the exposure used to capture the video based on user motion. For example, exposure may be reduced to reduce the amount of blur during motion. Since such a reduced exposure captures a lesser amount of light, gain may be increased such that the captured video maintains a relatively constant image brightness in spite of the changing exposure over time.

摘要: A wallpaper system presents a first wallpaper image of a wallpaper video to a user and receives, via a user input device, one or both of: (i) a spatial user input selection, and (ii) a time user input selection from the user to apply to the wallpaper video. In response to detecting one or both of: (i) the spatial user input selection, and (ii) the time user input selection, the wallpaper system determines one or both of: (i) a respective spatial movement parameter within a wallpaper video associated with the spatial user input selection, and (ii) a respective time coordinate within the wallpaper video associated with the time user input selection. Wallpaper system presents, via the image display, a second wallpaper image associated with one or both of: (i) the respective spatial movement parameter, and (ii) the respective time coordinate.

摘要: A head mount display for use with a virtual reality system allows for an automatic adjustment of an inter-lens distance based on a particular user's inter-pupillary distance (IPD). The IPD for the user is measured, for example by taking an image of the user in a controlled environment and calculating the distance between the user's pupils within the image. Once the IPD is known, a desired inter-lens distance for the particular user may be defined based on user IPD. A computing device in communication with a head mount display unit may automatically adjust the inter-lens distance to match the desired inter-lens distance. A user's IPD and desired inter-lens distance may be stored for the user in a user account. As such, whenever the user participates in the virtual reality system, a head mount display used by the user may be configured with the user's desired inter-lens distance.

摘要: A head-mounted device (HMD) is configured to perform head tracking, even in low light environments. The HMD includes a stereo camera pair that includes a first camera and a second camera having overlapping fields of view. Both cameras are mounted on the HMD and are configured to detect both visible light and infrared (IR) light. The HMD also includes a flood IR light illuminator that is configured to emit a flood of IR light that spans an illumination area that overlaps with the cameras' fields of view. The intensity of the IR light is sometimes modified to accommodate low light environmental conditions. The cameras obtain images of reflected IR light. These images are then used to track movements of the HMD, even in low light environments.
