摘要: A removal tool uses magnetic attraction to guide the removal tool toward an implantable device subcutaneously implanted in subcutaneous tissue of a host and to remove the implantable device from the host. The removal tool may include first and second lever members that are pivotably connected together, and the first and second lever members include a pair of jaw members configured to move between open and closed positions to grasp the implantable device. The first jaw member may include a magnet to magnetically attract and couple to an implantable device implanted subcutaneously below a skin surface of a host.

One or more balloons are disposed in proximity of the blade working end, and an inflation assembly configured inflate the one or more balloons is included. The inflation assembly includes a fill port in fluid communication with a bellows, and the one or more balloons.

摘要: Surgical knives are disclosed, for initiating percutaneous access to a surgical site. The knife has a body with a rear handle and a front cutter portion. It may have a central cannulation to receive a guide wire, along a front-to-rear operating axis. The cutter portion has first and second blades opposed across the axis, each having an outward cutting edge directed laterally outwardly relative to the operating axis and a flat outward face also directed laterally outwardly relative to the operating axis and transversely to the respective outward cutting edge. The first and second outward faces of the two blades converge forwardly to their tip points, which lie close to the axis, and their cutting edges are oppositely directed. Alternatively a single blade may be used, forwardly convergent with the axis.

摘要: Embodiments include a system comprising a carrier and a cannula assembly. The carrier includes a proximal end and a distal end, and the proximal end is configured to removeably couple to a remote console. The cannula assembly, which is configured to removeably couple to the distal end of the carrier, is configured for rotational fractional resection (RFR) and includes at least one cannula rotatably coupled to the carrier and enclosed in a depth guide configured to control an insertion depth of the at least one cannula. The depth guide includes a vacuum chamber configured to form vacuum to evacuate resected tissue generated by the RFR.

摘要: A fastener cartridge can comprise a support portion, a tissue thickness compensator positioned relative to the support portion, and a plurality of fasteners positioned within the support portion and/or the tissue thickness compensator which can be utilized to fasten tissue. In use, the fastener cartridge can be positioned in a first jaw of a surgical fastening device, wherein a second jaw, or anvil, can be positioned opposite the first jaw. To deploy the fasteners, a staple-deploying member is advanced through the fastener cartridge to move the fasteners toward the anvil. As the fasteners are deployed, the fasteners can capture at least a portion of the tissue thickness compensator therein along with at least a portion of the tissue being fastened.

摘要: Subcutaneous implantation tools and methods of implanting a subcutaneous device using the same. The tool may include a tool body having a longitudinally extending recess having a distal opening and having a tunneler at a distal end of the tool body extending from the distal opening of the recess. The tool may include a plunger slidably fitting within at least a portion of the tool body recess. The recess may be configured to receive an implantable device and the tunneler preferably extends distally from the recess at a position laterally displaced from the device when the device is so located in the recess. Movement of the plunger distally within the recess advances the device distally out of the recess and alongside of and exterior to the tunneler.

摘要: Methods of using a soft tissue cutting device are disclosed. The methods include providing the soft tissue cutting device, positioning the soft tissue cutting device in a priming slot of a tray configured for receiving and holding the soft tissue cutting device, attaching a priming syringe to the soft tissue cutting device, priming a balloon disposed on a distal end of the soft tissue cutting device by equalizing a first pressure inside the balloon to a second pressure inside the priming syringe, removing the soft tissue cutting device from the priming slot, and positioning the distal end of the soft tissue cutting device on a safety slot included in the tray to determine whether the tissue cutting device has been properly primed.

摘要: The invention is a device, system, and method for repairing heart valve function, which may include bisecting native valve leaflets for improved deployment of a prosthetic heart valve in the native valve annulus. The invention may include a catheter having a cutting element shaft with a cutting element configured to puncture a valve leaflet and/or make a controlled cut through the leaflet. The device may have an extendable foot configured to be positioned on an opposite side of the valve leaflet from the cutting element shaft. The device may include magnets to guide the cutting element and/or cutting element shaft in proper alignment with the extendable foot and to hold the elements in place during leaflet bisection.

摘要: A subcutaneous implant removal device designed to work with a variety of cylindrical implants. The implant removal device comprises a non-planar base. The non-planar base is dimensioned to be placed onto the epidermal surface of a patient's skin. The base has a proximal end and a distal end. When placed on the patient's skin, the proximal end slopes upward while the distal end slopes downward along the patient's skin. The subcutaneous implant removal device also includes a pinnacle. The pinnacle extends upward from the non-planar base and has a front face and a rear face. The front face of the pinnacle is dimensioned to receive a force from a thumb of a clinician, holding the removal device in place on the patient's skin during use. A method for removing a subcutaneous implant is also provided.
