    摘要： A medical device for delivery of a fluid to a patient from a line terminating in a tubing needle. The medical device includes a cannula assembly for coupling the fluid into a cannula that is inserted into the patient. The cannula assembly has a first locking element disposed in a fixed position with respect to the cannula. Coupling the line to the cannula assembly is an infusion flap. The infusion flap includes a second locking element for engaging the first locking element of the cannula assembly and a lift tab for disconnecting the infusion flap from the cannula assembly. Coupling of the first and second locking elements requires initial mating of the infusion flap and cannula assembly followed by locking through rotation of the infusion flap with respect to the cannula assembly.

    摘要： A system for controlling flow of a fluid in a tube with a controlling device includes a pinch clamp. The pinch clamp has a first leg, a second leg, a connecting region there between, a pinching region, and a first part of a quick release connector. The first leg and the second leg are both connected to the connecting region. Whether the pinching region is in an open position or in a closed position is determined by spacing between the first leg and the second leg. The first leg includes the first part of the quick release connector. The first part of the quick release connector includes an element for quickly mounting the pinch clamp to the controlling device and for quickly dismounting the pinch clamp from the controlling device.

Each chamber along with its associated apparatus constitutes an effect. Each compound baffle comprises a fixed baffle and a removable baffle. A heat exchanger is fastened to the removable baffle and includes an evaporation surface, a condensation surface, and a pressure chamber isolated from the pressure-tight chamber in which it is located. A port in the compound baffle allows evaporate to pass between the pressure chamber and the pressure-tight chamber of an adjacent effect. The shell is provided with a removable top plate to provide access to the heat exchanger and allow removal of the heat exchanger and removable baffle.

    摘要： A fluidic infusion system introduces a select liquid chemical into the environment surrounding the functional end of an in vivo catheter or probe. The catheter/probe typically has a-sensor or electrode positioned near or at its closed distal end. A plurality of spaced radial openings are formed in an appropriate pattern adjacent to the end of the catheter/probe for introducing the select liquid chemical into the appropriate environment. The catheter/probe has at least one lumen extending through its length for directing the liquid chemical from a controlled pump to the radial openings. The openings are positioned within the catheter/probe so that when the catheter/probe is inserted into the appropriate environment, e.g., within a blood stream inside an artery or vein, the openings are upstream from the sensor or electrode relative to the flow of blood within such environment, thereby allowing the natural flow of blood to carry the liquid chemical from the radial openings to the sensor or probe area, where it can perform its intended function. The openings allow fluid flow therethrough only in one direction--from the lumen to the environment surrounding the catheter/probe. The catheter/probe may include a plurality of lumens for transporting differing liquid chemicals to the concerned environment.
