摘要: Systems and methods for providing opportunistic vehicle air brake system pressurization are disclosed. Vehicle air tanks used within an air brake system are pressurized during a time a battery charging status is satisfied. For example, such air tanks may be pressurized via an air compressor at a time during which the vehicle is electrically connected to a power source other than a battery of the vehicle. An example of such a power source may include an electrical charger, such as an electric vehicle charging station, or an electric generator during a regenerative braking event. The air tanks may also be pressurized by using a battery to energize the air compressor, based on the battery being charged above a predetermined threshold.

摘要: A powertrain system for an electric automobile outputs a desired torque from a motor with an angle of an accelerator pedal that is easy for a driver to operate, regardless of traveling environments such as the road surface gradient and the wind direction. The powertrain system includes a paddle switch and a shifter that are mounted to be operable by a driver, and are electrically connected directly or indirectly to an electronic control unit (ECU). The ECU controls, based on a torque control map defining the relationship between an accelerator pedal opening and output torque of a motor in advance, the output torque of the motor according to the accelerator pedal opening, and changes, based on an operation on the paddle switch or the shifter, the torque control map to be used for controlling the output torque of the motor.

摘要: The disclosure relates to a transportation system for urban mass transit that employs an array of narrow, elevated towers supporting stationary electrified cables. Self-propelled gondolas equipped with electric motors and regenerative braking systems traverse these cables, transporting passengers between various ground-level stations. The gondolas are capable of attaching to and detaching from the cables via an automated mechanism controlled by an onboard computer. The system is modular, allowing for scalable adaptation to urban environments and incorporates solar panels for energy generation. The system's design minimizes urban land use, offering an environmentally conscious alternative to traditional mass transit systems.

摘要: A one pedal driving system for an electric vehicle including one or more electric motors includes a controller in wireless communication with one or more external vehicle networks. The controller executes instructions to receive, from the one or more external vehicle networks, an active zone notification that indicates the electric vehicle is traveling into a one pedal driving zone. The one pedal driving zone represents a section of roadway where the electric vehicle decelerates from an initial speed. The controller executes instructions to receive a pedal notification that a driver foot is removed from an accelerator pedal of the electric vehicle. In response to receiving the active zone notification and the pedal notification, the controller instructs the electric vehicle to decelerate from the initial speed by a regenerative braking torque that is created by the one or more electric motors to counteract a forward momentum of the electric vehicle.

摘要: Embodiments describe a battery system that includes a first battery module coupled to a regenerative braking system and a control module that controls operation of the battery system by: determining a predicted driving pattern over a prediction horizon using a driving pattern recognition model based in part on a battery current and a previous driving pattern; determining a predicted battery resistance of the first battery module over the prediction horizon using a recursive battery model based in part on the predicted driving pattern, the battery current, a present bus voltage, and a previous bus voltage; determining a target trajectory of a battery temperature of the first battery module over a control horizon using an objective function; and controlling magnitude and duration of electrical power supplied from the regenerative such that a predicted trajectory of the battery temperature is guided toward the target trajectory of the battery temperature during the control horizon.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided to control a regenerative braking system comprising a battery, e.g., of a vehicle. The regenerative braking system harvests energy from a braking event. The energy can be stored in the battery, used to power a plurality of devices in the vehicle, or the battery can be preconditioned to provide more capacity to account for a braking event. The vehicle system may comprise one or more electrical loads configured to use power from the battery. The method comprises detecting a regenerative braking event of the vehicle and activating a first electrical load to consume the energy from the regenerative braking event.
