摘要: A pesticidal protein class of PirA, PirB, and PirAB fusion proteins exhibiting toxic activity against Coleopteran, Lepidopteran, and Hemipteran pest species is disclosed. DNA constructs are provided which contain a recombinant nucleic acid sequence encoding the PirA, PirB, and PirAB fusion proteins. Transgenic plants, plant cells, seed, and plant parts resistant to Coleopteran, Lepidopteran, and Hemipteran infestation are provided which contain recombinant nucleic acid sequences encoding the PirA, PirB, and PirAB fusion proteins. Methods for detecting the presence of the recombinant nucleic acid sequences or the proteins of the present invention in a biological sample, and methods of controlling Coleopteran, Lepidopteran, and Hemipteran species pests using the PirA, PirB, and PirAB fusion proteins are also provided.

摘要: Affinity constructs and affinity molecules to direct insecticidal toxins to insect specific structures of target insects are presented herein. The affinity constructs comprise of at least one affinity molecule that is capable of recognizing, or capable of binding to, or binding to, or being directed to, or being designed to bind to an insect-specific structure in and/or on a target insect, and at least one other affinity molecule capable of binding to, or binding to, or being directed to, or being designed to bind to an insecticidal protein (toxin) wherein the at least two affinity molecules are operably coupled. Presented herein are also methods of making and using these affinity constructs and affinity molecules.

In particular, interfering RNA molecules capable of interfering with pest target genes and that are toxic to the target pest are provided. 摘要: The disclosure provides nucleic acids, and variants and fragments thereof, derived from strains of Bacillus thuringiensis encoding variant polypeptides having increased pesticidal activity against insect pests, including Lepidoptera and Coleopteran. Particular embodiments of the disclosure provide isolated nucleic acids encoding pesticidal proteins, pesticidal compositions, DNA constructs, and transformed microorganisms and plants comprising a nucleic acid of the embodiments. These compositions find use in methods for controlling pests, especially plant pests.
