Abstract: A polymer composition comprising a dielectric material distributed within a polymer matrix is provided. The dielectric material has a volume resistivity of from about 0.1 ohm-cm to about 1×1012 ohm-cm. wherein the polymer matrix contains at least one thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer, and further wherein the polymer composition exhibits a dielectric constant of about 4 or more and a dissipation factor of about 0.3 or less, as determined at a frequency of 2 GHz.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a photopolymerizable composition. The photopolymerizable composition includes at least one polypropylene oxide component and an initiator, plus optionally a urethane component, a multifunctional reactive diluent, and/or an inhibitor. The present disclosure also provides an article including the reaction product of the photopolymerizable composition. Typically, the article exhibits an elongation at break of 30% or greater. Further, the present disclosure provides a method of making an article. The method includes (i) providing a photopolymerizable composition and (ii) selectively curing the photopolymerizable composition to form an article. The method optionally also includes (iii) curing unpolymerized polypropylene oxide component, urethane component and/or multifunctional reactive diluent remaining after step (ii). Further, methods are provided, including receiving, by a manufacturing device having one or more processors, a digital object comprising data specifying an article; and generating, with the manufacturing device by an additive manufacturing process, the article based on the digital object. A system is also provided, including a display that displays a 3D model of an article; and one or more processors that, in response to the 3D model selected by a user, cause a 3D printer to create a physical object of an article.

Abstract: A method for isolating plastic products produced by polymerization of resin with proton beams is disclosed. The method comprises a liquid resin added with a reactive dye that changes from transparent or colorless to color when activated by the proton beam or the chemical polymerization process to reveal polymerization within a polymerizable resin. The change in color is correlated to the energy delivered to the resin by a proton beam, electromagnetic radiation, or heat. The reactive dye is placed into a plastic container. The proton beam is directed into the container to polymerize the resin. When irradiation is complete, the container of frozen resin is opened at the top and bottom and placed on top of the column of water containing a density gradient provided by dissolved salt. The partially cured product is fully cured while suspended in the density gradient by application of heat or ultraviolet radiation.

The present invention relates to a resin composition for stereolithographic modeling, comprising: a polymerizable monomer (A); a photopolymerization initiator (B), and an organic peroxide (C), wherein the polymerizable monomer (A) comprises a (meth)acrylic acid ester compound (A-1) having a viscosity of 1,000 mPa·s or less and a normal boiling point of 270° C. or more and/or a (meth)acrylamide compound (A-2) having a viscosity of 1,000 mPa·s or less and a normal boiling point of 200° C. or more, and the photopolymerization initiator (B) is at least one selected from a (bis)acylphosphine oxide, an α-hydroxyketone compound, an α-aminoketone compound, a benzoin alkyl ether compound, a thioxanthone, a ketal, an α-diketone, and an anthraquinone.

Abstract: A composition that can be activated by irradiation and cured by moisture comprises (A) one or more moisture-curable compounds from the group of alkoxy silanes, (B) at least one acid generator releasing an acid when exposed to actinic radiation, and (C) at least one carbonyl compound and/or carbonyl derivative selected from the group of aldehydes, ketones, hemiacetals and hemiketals. Moreover, the compositions according to the present invention can additionally contain an alcohol and/or thiol (D), a catalyst for moisture-curing (E), a radiation-curable compound (F), a photoinitiator for radical polymerization (G), and further additives (H). After activation of the acid generator the composition cures even in high layer thicknesses independently of the ingress of external moisture.
Furthermore, a method for the bonding, molding, sealing and coating of substrates using the composition is described.
