Abstract: A touch screen sensor includes a visible light transparent substrate and an electrically conductive micropattern disposed on or in the visible light transparent substrate. The micropattern includes a first region micropattern within a touch sensing area and a second region micropattern. The first region micropattern has a first sheet resistance value in a first direction, is visible light transparent, and has at least 90% open area. The second region micropattern has a second sheet resistance value in the first direction. The first sheet resistance value is different from the second sheet resistance value.

Abstract: This application relates to a method of manufacturing a knife using a multilayer material. In one aspect, the method includes preparing a multilayer material for manufacturing a knife, and heating and then forging the multilayer material to form a knife-shaped structure including a blade part and a handle part. The method also includes grinding the blade part to form a sharpened knife-edge and applying mud, including kaolin and white clay, to an entire surface of the knife-shaped structure and removing the mud applied to the blade part. The method further includes heating the knife-shaped structure applied with the mud, and quenching the heated knife-shaped structure through oil-cooling. The method further includes etching a surface of the quenched knife-shaped structure to form a pattern on the surface and grinding the surface-etched knife-shaped structure to form a knife having a final shape.

Abstract: The present invention is concerned with a superhydrophobic surface arrangement, an article having the same and a method of making same. The arrangement is configured for generating, upon contact by water droplets, pancaking bouncing and reducing liquid contact time. Abstract: Inspired by the discovery that environmental heat energy can be isothermally utilized through electrostatically localized protons at a liquid-membrane interface to do useful work such as driving ATP synthesis, the present invention discloses an innovative energy renewal method with making and using an asymmetric function-gated isothermal electricity production system comprising at least one pair of a low work function thermal electron emitter and a high work function electron collector across a barrier space installed in a container with electric conductor support to enable energy recycle process functions with utilization of environmental heat energy isothermally for at least one of: a) utilization of environmental heat energy for energy renewing of fully dissipated waste heat energy from the environment to generate electricity to do useful work; b) providing a novel cooling function for a new type of refrigerator by isothermally extracting environmental heat energy from inside the refrigerator while generating isothermal electricity.

Abstract: A method of growing graphene at low temperature on a substrate. The method includes placing a substrate with a layer of cobalt deposited thereon in a plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) chamber, providing a carbon precursor gas to the PECVD chamber, generating plasma at between about 350° C. and about 800° C. to decompose the carbon precursor gas to thereby deposit carbon atoms on the cobalt layer and enabling a plurality of the carbon atoms to diffuse through the cobalt layer thereby growing graphene on top of the cobalt layer and in between the substrate and the cobalt layer, removing carbon atoms from top of the cobalt layer, and removing the cobalt layer.
