摘要: Disclosed is a piston ported two-stroke compression ignition internal combustion engine comprising: a cylinder having a fixed closed end, and a piston for reciprocation within the cylinder, wherein the closed end of the cylinder and the piston together define a combustion chamber therebetween; at least one heater to heat the combustion chamber; and a controller to control the heater to heat the combustion chamber when the controller determines that a temperature of the combustion chamber has fallen below a threshold temperature during reciprocation of the piston within the cylinder.

摘要: A leakage detection device detects leakage in a PCV passage that at least includes a scavenging line that communicates between a crank chamber of an engine and a portion of an intake passage of the engine that is on a downstream side of a throttle valve and a fresh air line that communicates between the crank chamber and a portion of the intake passage that is on an upstream side of the throttle valve. The leakage detection device includes a pressure measurement, a first valve and a leakage determination unit. The pressure measurement unit measures pressure in the PCV passage. The first valve opens/closes the fresh air line. The leakage determination unit determines presence or absence of leakage in the PCV passage on a basis of the pressure in the PCV passage at a time when the first valve is closed.

摘要: A clean-side oil and air separator includes (i) a first housing including a filter material; (ii) a second housing including a threaded portion adapted to be a direct replacement for an engine oil fill cap removably closing an oil engine fill port; and (iii) a coupler disposed between and removably coupling the first housing and the second housing; wherein the first housing, second housing, and coupler include a continuous fluid pathway therethrough that extends between (a) an air intake from a PCV valve and (b) the engine oil fill port; and wherein the filter material is disposed in said fluid pathway within said first housing.

摘要: Systems and methods are described for reducing friction within a transmission and an internal combustion engine including a PCV system. A gaseous fuel source is fluidly coupled to the transmission via a flow control valve and the transmission, in turn, is fluidly coupled to an air inflow line of the PCV system. The flow control valve is configured to control a flow of gaseous fuel into the transmission and there on into the PCV system and crankcase.

摘要: A PCV valve that regulates the flow of gases to a turbocharger. A spring biased plunger member is used to restrict and meter the flow of gases through the PCV valve. The plunger member can include an axially extending through opening extending through the length of the plunger member to allow back flow of gases to be routed to the turbocharger. The through opening can be selectively opened and closed by a valve module contained in the plunger member.

摘要: There is provided a breather device for an engine and capable of suppressing forming of separated oil into mist again. The breather device for the engine includes an oil filter chamber at a midpoint of a blow-by gas passing route and an oil filter housed in the oil filter chamber. The oil filter chamber is partitioned with a partition wall into an upstream filter chamber and a downstream filter chamber arranged in a front-back direction, the filter is formed by an upstream filter and a downstream filter, the upstream filter is housed in the upstream filter chamber and the downstream filter is housed in the downstream filter chamber, respectively, and a side gas expansion chamber is provided beside the oil filter chamber so that blow-by gas flows from the upstream filter into the downstream filter through the side gas expansion chamber.

Fuel vapors from a canister and the crankcase are selectively purged to a group of cylinders and not to remaining engine cylinders. Exhaust is recirculated from the selected group of cylinders to the engine intake wherefrom the EGR is ingested in the remaining engine cylinders and the selected group of cylinders.
