    摘要: A clutch assembly for a transmission having a gear radially supported relative to a shaft in which the clutch assembly includes a clutch plate rotationally coupled to the shaft. The clutch plate further includes an engaged state whereby a surface of the clutch plate abuts a surface of the gear to rotationally couple the gear to the shaft and a disengaged state whereby the clutch surface is spaced from the gear surface to rotationally uncouple the gear and the clutch plate. A transmission assembly includes a first shaft, a second shaft, and a plurality of gears interconnecting the first shaft and the second shaft such that each gear of the plurality of gears is radially supported by one of the first and second shafts. The transmission assembly can further include a plurality of the clutch assemblies.

    摘要: A wedge clutch, including: first and second hubs; an outer ring; a first wedge plate radially disposed between the first hub and the outer ring; a second wedge plate radially disposed between the second hub and the outer ring; and a wedge pin including an actuation ramp axially disposed between the first and second hubs. To transition to a connect mode, in which the first and second hubs are non-rotatably connected to the outer ring, the wedge pin is arranged to rotate in a first rotational direction and the actuation ramp is arranged to displace the first and second hubs away from each other. To transition to a disconnect mode, in which the first and second hubs are rotatable with respect to the outer ring, the wedge pin is arranged to rotate in a second opposite rotational direction to reduce an axial distance between the first and second hubs.

    摘要: A synchronization device is described for a change speed gear, comprising at least one cone clutch which comprises a double cone ring (10) which is freely rotatable relative to a hub (1) between an inner friction ring (8) and an outer synchronizing ring (9) which is axially displaceable relative to the friction ring (8) and which comprises a ring body (15) with a stop gearing (14) on the outer circumference and a friction surface (17) on the inner circumference as well as radially inwardly facing drivers (13) for the friction ring (8). In order to provide advantageous constructional conditions it is proposed that the drivers (13) are provided on a driver ring (16) made of at least one sheet-metal pre-cut part which is joined to the ring body (15) consisting of a sintered body.

The retaining member has a through-hole portion to receive part of the ball member. Shift member is slidably fitted over the retaining member and includes a ball-restricting portion of an inner diameter generally equal to an outer diameter of the retaining member and a ball-releasing portion having a greater inner diameter than the restricting portion. Power-transmitting portions are provided on the opposed axial ends with which the ball member is engageable to transmit the driving power.

    摘要: A portable information handling system includes a motorized hinge that rotates first and second housing portions between open and closed positions and a clutch hinge that manages torque during rotation of the first and second housing portions. A clutch of the clutch hinge couples to an axle with a compressive mechanism and a clamping mechanism that combine to apply a total torque that resists rotation of the first and second housing portions. The clamping mechanism couples to the axle from within a clutch housing and the compressive mechanism inserts over the axle to compress at opposing sides of the clutch housing.
