摘要: Methods and apparatus to detect proximity of objects to computing devices using near ultrasonic sound waves are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a frequency analyzer to determine power levels of noise in different frequency bands associated with sound waves sensed by a microphone of a computing device. The example apparatus further includes a signal generator to cause a speaker to produce a series of acoustic pulses. A central frequency of the pulses is defined based on the power levels of noise in the different frequency bands. The sound waves are sensed by the microphone to include the pulses and echoes of the pulses reflected off objects in a vicinity of the computing device. The example apparatus also includes an object detection analyzer to determine whether a first object is within an activation region associated with the computing device based on the pulses and the echoes sensed by the microphone.

摘要: A projection apparatus and a control method thereof are provided. The projection apparatus includes a processor, a sensor, and a projection module. When a command corresponding to a standby mode is received, the processor sets the projection apparatus to a first sub-standby mode. The sensor is enabled to sense whether there is a living object located in a sensing area outside the projection apparatus. The standby mode is maintained as the first sub-standby mode in response to sensing that the living object is not in the sensing area. The standby mode is set to be switched to a second sub-standby mode in response to sensing that the living object is in the sensing area. A maximum power consumption of the first sub-standby mode is less than a maximum power consumption of the second sub-standby mode. In the first and second sub-standby modes, the projection module is not enabled.

摘要: A control method of an apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a control unit coupled to a proximity sensor to detect a first distance of a user in a field of view, and coupled to a charge variation sensor to detect an electric/electrostatic charge variation caused by the user in a detection region. The control method includes acquiring a charge variation signal and generating charge variation parameters as a function of the charge variation signal. The control method further includes determining whether a condition on charge variation parameters is verified, and if the condition on charge variation parameters is verified, activating the proximity sensor and acquiring a proximity signal. Proximity parameters are generated as a function of the proximity signal. If a condition on proximity parameters is verified, one or more functionalities of the apparatus are activated.

摘要: The information processing apparatus includes a computation processing circuit of which a state is capable of being switched at least between an active state in which power is consumed, and a no-power-usage state in which power is not consumed; an event detection module that detects a first event used to shift the state of the computation processing circuit from the no-power-usage state to the active state; a power isolation circuit that isolates power of the event detection module from power of the computation processing circuit in the no-power-usage state; and an isolation canceling circuit that cancels, in the active state, the isolation performed by the power isolation circuit.
