摘要: A method and system for performing a movement of a service within a distributed system. In one embodiment, the method comprises determining one or more locations where the service is to be moved. The method further comprises for each of the one or more locations, computing a metric including a cross-cell cost (C-cost) or a data locality-cost (DL-cost) of the software service if a movement of the software service to a location was to occur, prior to performing the movement of the software service; and modelling a latency and availability of the system due to the movement of the software service to the location based on the metric. The method further comprises performing the movement of the service based on the modelled latency and availability of the system.

摘要: A non-transitory storage medium featuring logic to obtain construct metadata and network data spanning multiple cloud networks includes a path determination logic, upon execution by one or more processors, configured to perform operations including: generate a topology mapping including a plurality of constructs and connections between the plurality of constructs extending across a multi-cloud network including a first cloud network and a second cloud network different than the first cloud network; receive user input corresponding to a selection of a source construct operating in the first cloud network and a destination construct operating in the second cloud network; analyze metadata and network data regarding the source construct and the destination construct to determine a data transmission path between the source and destination constructs; and determine a shortest path between the source construct and the destination constructs. An interface generation logic generates a visualization illustrating the data transmission path extending between the source construct and the destination construct.

An example first computing device transmits, to a second computing device, a first data packet, the first data packet including a first time indicator and at least one header extension element. The at least one header extension element includes a header extension element header, the header extension element header having a length of at least one byte. The first computing device receives, from the second computing device, a second data packet, the second data packet including a second time indicator. The first computing device determines a data packet delay associated with the first data packet based on the first time indicator and the second time indicator and transmits an indication of the data packet delay to at least one of the second computing device or a third computing device.

摘要: A computer-assisted method for monitoring a first time base of a first communication device and a second time base of a second communication device. First, Cristian's algorithm is used to calculate time offset intervals between the time bases. Second, the maximally possible drift of the time offset is ascertained multiple times for two measurement steps. A minimally possible drift is ascertained from the upper limit of the time offset interval for the previous measurement step and the lower limit of the time offset interval for the subsequent measurement step. The upper and lower limits of a drift interval are calculated from the maximally and minimally possible drifts. Third, the lowest upper limit is defined as the upper limit of a resulting drift interval, and the highest lower limit is defined as the lower limit of the resulting drift interval with narrow limits for the relative drift.

摘要: A network path scoring system is disclosed herein that scores quality of network paths to facilitate identification of poorly performing network paths or circuits for investigation. The scoring system builds a profile of additional latencies of a network path binned by circuit load based on historical latency data for the network path. The additional latencies are determined with respect to a base latency of the network path. The network path scoring system determines a weighted average of the additional latencies of a subset of the load bins and a weighted average of expected latencies of the subset of load bins, and a score is calculated with these weighted averages.

摘要: In an approach to optimize server connection timeout errors in a cloud environment, embodiments create a knowledge corpus associated with connection timeout patterns based on historical learning of transaction parameters and predicts a criticality of a transaction based on one or more identified contextual situations. Further, embodiments dynamically adjust a connection timeout range of the transaction based on the predicted criticality and one or more identified contextual situations of the transaction, and selectively identify a connection timeout range for the transaction based on an evaluation of the one or more contextual situations. Additionally, embodiments analyze generated timeout errors on a remote server from within a service mesh, and adjust timeout values of the transaction based on the analyzed generated timeouts errors. Responsive to the transaction receiving a timeout error, embodiments output a recommended timeline detailing when the transaction can be reinitiated.

In particular, the systems, devices, and techniques can be implemented in fifth generation (5G) mobile networks to provide selection of a user plane function (UPF) based on latency. The UPF can measure a latency toward an access network and provide an indication of the latency to a policy control function (PCF). The PCF can select the UPF based on the indication and can request the UPF to provide services to a user equipment (UE) originating a priority request. In response, the UPF can provide services to the UE.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit a control message indicating reservation of a first resource of a sidelink channel for a sidelink transmission. The first UE may receive a pre-conflict indication for the first resource based on the control message. In some cases, the first UE may disregard the pre-conflict indication, or may not disregard the conflict indication based on one or more factors. The first UE may perform resource re-selection to select a second resource for the sidelink transmission if the first UE receives the conflict indication at least a threshold amount of time prior to the first resource, and may transmit using the second resource. Otherwise, the first UE may report a negative acknowledgement (NACK) message from a physical (PHY) layer to a medium access control (MAC) layer.
