摘要： A system and method for implementing a high speed link between a mobile cache and an edge cache. For example, one embodiment of a system comprises: a mobile cache deployed on a vessel/vehicle, the mobile cache to store multimedia content to be provided to passengers on the vessel/vehicle; a first network device including a first plurality of wireless network antennas communicatively coupled to the mobile cache; an edge cache deployed at a designated location at which the vessel/vehicle is expected; a second network device including a second plurality of wireless network antennas communicatively coupled to the edge cache; wherein upon arrival at the designated location, each of the first plurality of wireless network antennas is paired with at least one of the second plurality of wireless network antennas to establish a plurality of simultaneous wireless links to exchange multimedia content between the edge cache and the mobile cache.

摘要： A system with distributed proxy for reducing traffic in a wireless network satisfies data requests made by a mobile application. The system includes a mobile device having a local proxy for intercepting a data request made by the mobile application. The local proxy simulates application server responses for the mobile application on the mobile device for data requests where responses are available in the local cache. A proxy server is coupled to the mobile device and an application server to which the data request is made. The proxy server is able to communicate with the local proxy. The local proxy forwards the data request to the proxy server for transmission to the application server for a response to the data request. The proxy server queries the application server for any changes to the data request that the mobile application has previously made and notifies the local proxy of such changes.

The application gateway server computer may provide applications that can be centrally managed and may extend the capabilities of the client devices, including the ability to authenticate across backend systems. A managed container may include a managed cache and may provide a secure shell for applications received from the application gateway server computer. The managed container may store the applications in the managed cache and control access to the managed cache according to rules propagated from at least one of the backend systems via the application gateway server computer.

The system can receive a second location indicating that the entity is not proximate to the interaction location. The system can clear the cached historical interaction data from the processor device, in response to determining that the entity is not proximate to the interaction location.
