A user equipment (UE) may initiate a radio resource control (RRC) layer signaling procedure between the UE and a target UE, include an upper layer signaling message in an RRC message based in part on the RRC layer signaling procedure, and transmit the RRC message including the upper layer signaling message to the target UE. Alternatively, upper layer signaling messages may be transmitted separately before or after the RRC layer signaling procedure.

摘要: Devices, methods, communication nodes, base stations, storage media, and other embodiments are provided for managing associations in a communication network. In one example embodiment, a New Radio (NR) node is configured for NR user-plane protocol communications between a master node (MN) and a secondary node (SN). The NRnode is configured to generate a downlink (DL) user data message with downlink user data, initiate transmission of the DL user data message to a second node, and process a DL data delivery status message from the second node in response to the DL user data message. In various embodiments, polling and SCG split-bearer configurations are supported by such messaging. In some embodiments, packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) serial numbers are communicated for transmission and retransmission management. In some embodiments, DL configurations initiated by an SN are enabled, as well as UL configurations initiated by either an MN or an SN.

An example method includes a network node generating a DDDS frame including an indicator that a highest transmitted Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) Packet Data Unit (PDU) sequence number is present in the DDDS frame, an indicator that a highest successfully delivered PDCP PDU sequence number delivered is present in the DDDS frame, a desired buffer size for a data bearer, the highest transmitted PDCP PDU sequence number, and the highest successfully delivered PDCP PDU sequence number. The network node provides the DDDS frame to a second network node.

An embodiment provides a method for a user equipment (UE), including determining a number of slots for a Tracking Reference Signal (TRS), wherein the number of slots is based on a subcarrier spacing of a bandwidth part (BWP) in a current component carrier for the UE; and receiving TRS based on the number of slots and a quasi co-location (QCL) relationship of the TRS, wherein the QCL relationship indicates that the TRS is Quasi-Co-Located (QCLed) with a Synchronization Signal (SS) block or a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS).

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a source base station. The source base station comprises a processing circuitry that generates a user equipment packet duplication status. The user equipment packet duplication status includes information on the status of uplink packet duplication performed by a user equipment with the source base station and at least one further base station. The information on the status of uplink packet duplication is per uplink radio bearer, one or more uplink radio bearers being established between the user equipment and the source base station. The source base station further comprises a transmitter that transmits the user equipment packet duplication status to a target base station which is the target of a handover from the source base station performed for the user equipment.
