Abstract:
A web server and data warehouse (1) is provided to enable one or more suppliers of goods or services (4) to service one or more customers (10). Communication between the suppliers, customers and web server uses the internet (3) which is accessed using local internet service providers (2, 5, 9, 11) to minimise telephone call costs. The web server (1) provides automated websites by means of which suppliers can set parameters for goods or equipment at the customer sits. The customer sites transmit measured parameters to the website.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of fabricating a semiconductor package or circuit assembly using an fluxing underfill composition applied to solder contact points in a dip process.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method of cleaning electronic components using a water-miscible solvent system. In the method, the components are washed with a water-miscible solvent system, rinsed with water and the used solvent and water entraining the impurities are combined and passed through an absorptive medium which retains all the suspended impurities but does not absorb the solvent or water. The cleaned aqueous solvent can be recovered and concentrated by evaporating off the water to leave behing a concentrated solvent solution. Use of this method minimises emission of undesirable inorganic, organic and/or particulate materials into the environment.
Abstract:
A system for monitoring the state of resources, that is stocks of consumable items or plant and equipment, at one or more remote sites and for enabling the restoration of those resources to a desired state comprises a central server (1) connected to the internet (3) via a local internet service provider (2). A monitoring unit (8) at each remote site is connected to the server (1) via the internet (3) using respective local internet service providers (9). A controller (4) is connected to the server. The central server (1) provides a web site that the monitoring unit (8) and the controller (4) can access. The monitoring unit (8) transmits data to the server (1) indicating the state of the resources at the remote site to the server using the web site. The server receives processes and stores the data transmitted by the monitoring unit (8). The controller (4) is arranged to be able to access the processed and stored data via the web site and to input information to the server as to what action should be taken in response to specified conditions of the resources and at any of the remote sites.

Abstract:
Materials are described which have use in the fabrication of electronic assemblies. The manner of use is dependent upon chemical and physical characteristics of the materials and uses include use as a substitute for resin in soldering aids such as solid flux, cored wire, liquid flux or solder paste, in conformal coatings, in polymer thick films, in conductive inks and in adhesives. The materials are substances having a flow characteristic ranging from liquid of viscosity of more than 270 cP at ambient temperature to a solid having a softening point of up to 400 DEG C. The substance is the product of a condensation reaction between a tertiary organic base with at least one N-hydroxylalkyl group and an organic polycarboxylic acid or reactive derivative thereof. The substance is acid and has an acid number of at least 100.
