Abstract:
A system for combining data is disclosed. The system may comprise one or more processors, individually or collectively, configured to receive video data recorded by at least one sensor and operation data of a movable object that carries the at least one sensor, associate the operation data with the video data, and store the associated operation data and the video data in a video file. The operation data may indicate one or more operation states of the movable object during a time period when the video data is recorded.
Abstract:
A method of classifying video data representing activity within a space to be monitored. A method comprises storing video data obtained from a camera configured to monitor the space. Sensor data indicative of a condition occurring within the space is obtained, and a plurality of programme elements are defined within the video data. Each programme element has an associated classification code, and each classification code is selected using the sensor data.
Abstract:
A storage medium for storing text-based subtitle data including style information, a reproducing apparatus and methods are provided for reproducing text-based subtitle data including style information separately recorded on the storage medium. The storage medium includes: multimedia image data; and text-based subtitle data for displaying subtitles on an image based on the multimedia image data, wherein the text-based subtitle data includes dialog information indicating subtitle contents to be displayed on the image, style information indicating an output style of the dialog information, and partial style information indicating an output style applied to a portion of the dialog information. Accordingly, subtitles can be provided in a plurality of languages without limited to the number of units of subtitle data. In addition, subtitle data can be easily produced and edited. Likewise, an output style of the subtitle data can be changed in a variety of ways. Also, a special style can be applied in order to emphasize a portion of the subtitles.
Abstract:
A tape indexing arrangement for video recorders records the index on the tape using standard broadcast teletext codes. When a tape is inserted the contents list it contains is written onto an index RAM in the recorder (200). When a new programme is recorded a programme identification is generated from PDC or EPG data (202). At a suitable later time the contents of the index RAM are recorded on the tape (204).
Abstract:
Operation of a video cassette player is facilitated by providing a VBI decoder which decodes information, such as title, channel, date, time and length of broadcast programs and utilizing the information in providing directory of the programs as well as control of the VCR. The video cassette player is also provided with a VBI encoder for inserting control as well as directory information into the tape, either in the VBI portions of the video track or in the control track.
Abstract:
Freedom of scene selection is given to a user, and software expression can be expanded. Program information comprising associated program chapters or program passages is stored in a disk (100). A reproduction apparatus can select an arbitrary program chapter or program passage from the reproduced information on the basis of a data string processing portion (203), a system control portion (204) and an operation portion (205) and can switch them. The selected information is sent to a video processing unit (206) and audio processing portions (211, 213).
Abstract:
A video tape player (1) monitors the selection habits of a viewer selecting from a plurality of video tapes. Each video tape (42) contains a plurality of programs. A first type of video tape has a title information symbol contained in a predetermined interval of the tape, e.g. the vertical blanking interval, for each program on the tape. A clock (31a) provides the time of occurence of commands. A detector (30) receives user inputted commands for controlling the movement of the video tape (42) such as play, record, stop. The user inputted commands comprise a start play command to start moving, in a longitudinal direction, the video tape (42) proximate to a magnetic head so that the magnetic head can detect said programs on the video tape (42) and a stop command to stop moving the tape. A controller (21) is coupled to said detector (30) for commanding the motor in response to said detected user inputted commands and for reading the time of occurence of said detected user inputted commands.

Abstract:
In one embodiment, the methods and apparatuses for formatting and displaying content capture an image with a device; detect an image parameters related to the image; store the image parameters such that the image parameters are available for access at a later time; and display the image in a display location based on at least one of the image parameters.
Abstract:
An information storage medium containing display mode information, and a reproducing apparatus and method therefor are provided. The information storage medium comprises audio/video (AV) data; a markup language document by which a display window is defined, the display window on which an AV screen is output in order to reproduce the AV screen based on the AV data in an interactive mode; and mode information which is to indicate information on the current display mode when the AV screen is displayed in a plurality of modes. With the medium, a user-friendly interface which indicates an interactive mode that is not a video mode, even in a full-screen mode that is a subordinate mode of the interactive mode, is provided.
