摘要： A first refrigerator oil of the invention has a sodium and/or potassium concentration of 0.1 ppm or less, a low hydrolyzability and excellent insulation performance, and hence is useful as a composition for a refrigerator equipped with an enclosed compressor. A second refrigerator oil of the invention comprises mainly a carboxylic acid ester of pentaerythritol, wherein the carboxylic acid comprises a mixture of 3,5,5-trimethylhexanoic acid with a C6-C8 linear or branched fatty acid and the content of the trimethylhexanoic acid exceeds 50 mole % but does not exceed 90 mole %. This oil has a high viscosity and high electrical insulation properties required of refrigerator oils for large air-conditioning equipment and a household air conditioner, does not crystallize at low temperature, and is excellent in handleability.

The fire resistant compositions may, optionally, contain one or more shear-stable polymers which have been found to increase the fire resistance of the hydraulic fluid composition.

摘要： In accordance with one aspect, the present invention is directed to a lubricating oil additive mixture comprising (A) a lubricating oil dispersant additive comprising at least one of (1) ashless dispersants and/or (2) polymeric viscosity index improver dispersants, and (B) a demulsifier additive comprising the reaction product of an alkylene oxide and an adduct obtained by reacting a bis-epoxide with a polyhydric alcohol. In a preferred embodiment, the lubricating oil additive mixtures further comprises (C) a compatibilizer additive for the demulsifier, which comprises a glycol ester or a hydroxyamide derivative of a carboxylic acid having a total of from 24 to 90 carbon atoms and at least one carboxylic group per molecule, for enhanced solubility, viz. stability, of the demulsifier in the oil solutions containing such dispersants.

摘要： Disclosed is an aqueous composition prepared by dispersing water in a base fluid in the presence of surfactants, which composition comprises, as the surfactants, (A) at least one of the compounds represented by the general formula: R -O-(R -O)n-H wherein R is an alkyl group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, R is an alkylene group having 2 or 3 carbon atoms, and n is an intefer of 1 to 20; however, when n is an integer of 2 or more, the repeating unit (R -O) may contain both of alkylene groups having 2 carbon atoms and alkylene groups having 3 carbon atoms mixedly, and (B) at least one ionic surfactant. The aqueous composition of the present invention is transparent in appearance, and has a low viscosity, and can employ a fluid having a high viscosity to obtain a composition of desired viscosity. Said composition is also excellent in mechanical and chemical stabilities. In said composition, phase inversion by temperature is reversible.
