Abstract:
The present invention relates to a quick and low-stress setting chemical formulation for construction, containing at least one binding agent on the basis of calcium sulfate, at least an ettringite-forming agent, at least one activator, at least one filler, at least one redispersable dispersion powder and optionally additives and to the use of the chemical formulation for construction for producing thin-layered balancing masses, self running and solid fillers, screed binding agents or screed mortars, tile adhesive mortars, jointing mortars and sealing sludges.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing powder (P) from salts of silanols, from the hydrolysis/condensation products thereof, or from silanols together with the hydrolysis/condensation products thereof and cations which are selected from alkali cations, the molar ratio of cation to silicon being 0.1 to 3. In a first step organoalkoxysilanes, the hydrolysis/condensation products thereof, or organoalkoxysilanes together with the hydrolysis/condensation products thereof, the alkoxy group being selected from methoxy, ethoxy, 1-propoxy and 2-propoxy groups, are reacted with a basic alkali salt and optionally water to produce a hydrolysate having an alcohol content from 2 to 38 percent by weight. In a second step a powder having an alcohol content of 0.5 to 5 percent by weight is produced by drying from the hydrolysate produced in the first step, and in a third step the alcohol content is reduced by an aftertreatment of the powder, the powder (P) being obtained with an alcohol content of at most 1 percent by weight. The invention further relates to a powder (P) which can be produced by the above method, the hydrolysate produced in the first step being spray-dried in the second step. The invention further relates to mixtures of construction materials containing the powder (P) which can be produced in this way, and to structural parts or to moulded bodies, which can be produced from the mixtures of construction materials.
Abstract:
This invention provides a composition of cellulose ether and gluconate salts for use in cement containing skim coat, wherein upon application of said composition, said cement containing skim coat has a pot life of no less than 2 hours and setting time no more than 20% longer than if no gluconate salt is added. In particular, said composition comprises, by weight of total solids of said skim coat, 0.2-0.6 wt. % hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose ether and 0.02-0.07 wt. % gluconate salt.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a composition comprising, based on the dry weight of said composition,(A) 10 to 70 % by weight of one or more hydraulic binder and (B) 20 to 85% by weight of one or more filler, wherein the composition contains 0,05 to5 % by weight, based on the amount of the hydraulic binder, of at least one terpenoid alcohol, wherein the terpenoid alcohol is not terpineol or borneol. Additionally disclosed is a hardened product made by the composition and the use of at least one terpenoid alcoholin a composition, comprising hydraulic binder and filler, to reduce the shrinkage of the wet composition during curing.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a composition of pulverulent mortar containing a binder, characterised in that it comprises at least: one mineral binder, an additive containing an organic carbonate of formula R 1 -O-(CO)-O-R 2 , comprising at least 5 carbon atoms, wherein the groups R 1 and R 2 , that are the same or different, are cycloalkyl or aromatic, saturated or unsaturated, linear or cyclic, optionally branched, alkyl or alkylene hydrocarbon radicals, granular material, aggregates and/or sand or other inert loads.
Abstract:
The present invention describes the use of a polycarboxylate ether as an air-entraining agent in a composition comprising a hydraulic binder, wherein the polycarboxylate ether is a copolymer comprising monomer units A of acrylic acid or a salt thereof and monomer units B of polyethylene glycol isoprenyl ether and/or polyethylene glycol methallyl ether. The air-entraining agent is particularly suitable for mortar cements, in particular for mortar cements comprising fly ash.
