    PREPARATION: The reaction of p-(2-nitrovinyl)benzoic acid with 2,4-dinitrophenol derivative or N-hydroxysuccinimide derivative is carried out in a solvent such as THF or DMF in the presence of a dehydrating agent such as dicyclohexylcarbodiimide to give the compound of the formula. The compound of the formula is used to combine, e.g., peptides or steroids.

    摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject substance in high purity and yield with an inexpensive and safe process without producing polymer by-products by reacting a 2-nitro-1-nitrosoethylbenzene compound in a non-polar solvent such as chlorinated hydrocarbon or aromatic hydrocarbon. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound of formula II can be produced by dispersing or dissolving a compound of formula I (X is H, halogen, NO2, NH2, OH, lower alkyl, carboxy, benzyloxy, etc.; (n) is 1-3) in a non-polar solvent (e.g. chloroform or toluene) or in a mixture of water and a non-polar solvent and reacting the compound of formula I at 0-60 deg.C in the presence of 15/1000 to 1/10mol (based on 1mol of the compound of formula I) of an organic base (e.g. triethylamine) or inorganic base (e.g. NaOH) while adding a phase-transfer catalyst as necessary. The compound of formula II is useful as a synthetic intermediate for pharmaceuticals, agricultural chemicals, industrial materials, agricultural and horticultural fungicides, etc.
