    摘要: PURPOSE: To obtain a macromonomer, having N-isopropylacrylamide in a recurring unit, convertible into a graft copolymer having amphiphilicity and heat- sensitive phase transition properties, etc., and expectable of application to an interfacial modifier, a water-dispersible coating, a drug delivery system, etc. CONSTITUTION: This macromonomer of formula I [Q1 is H or CH3 ; Q2 is a group of formula II or III (R is a 1-10C alkylene); Q3 is 0 or NH; Q4 is R; Q5 is O or S; Y is O or two H atoms; n is 1-50]. The macromonomer of formula I is obtained by radically polymerizing N-isopropylacrylamide in the presence of a chain transfer agent having, e.g. amino, OH or carboxyl in the molecule (e.g. 2-mercaptoethylamine, 2-mercaptoethanol or β-mercaptopropionic acid) and reacting the resultant poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) having terminal amino, OH or carboxyl with a halomethylstyrene or an alkyl methacrylate dioxide.
