    摘要: Systems for generating a USPTO office action response document based on an input USPTO Office Action document. A method implementation for constructing the USPTO office action response traverses a ruletree that has been dynamically formed from user answers to successive questions based on characteristics of the USPTO Office Action document. The ruletree comprises a first set of data items that pertains to an HCI and the ruletree further comprises a second set of data items that pertain to the target USPTO office action response document. Correspondence between the set of user answers to questions and passages in the USPTO office action response document are maintained in the ruletree. The ruletree expands and contracts during user interaction. To generate the USPTO office action response document, the ruletree is traversed in a sorted order, where traversal of a node generates a passage or passages in the generated USPTO office action response document.

    摘要: A method of tracing an aqueous liquid, particularly an aqueous urea used for addition to a selective catalytic reduction system to remove NOx from diesel exhaust, includes adding a tracer comprising a pre-determined amount of a phenol to the liquid. The liquid can subsequently be identified by reacting a sample with a reagent containing a predetermined amount of 4-aminoantipyrine in the presence of an initiating compound such that the reaction between the reagent and a phenol in the liquid produces a chromophore and measuring the absorbance of the resulting solution of the chromophore.

    摘要: Flexible, form fitting, uniquely shaped, body part bandages incorporate flexible carbon fiber blood flow stimulation planar emitters to provide therapeutic blood flow stimulation. Emitters are electrically powered and radiate pulsed electro magnetic energy at an ideal wavelength--typically in the 0.8 micron to 15 micron range--and frequency--typically in the 0.5 Mhz to 5 MHz range or 20 Hz to 200 Hz range--to stimulate circulation in sub dermal tissue. The carbon fiber emitters provide the means to maximize and control surface coverage and through their planar design also provide very uniform energy emissions over the entire applied surface area. Blood flow stimulation therapy body bandages are uniquely fashioned and shaped to form fit each body part and constructed such that they can then be incorporated in flexible and elastic materials such as neoprene and may include VELCRO hook and loop fasteners, buttons, straps, laces and the like.

    摘要: Concepts of the present disclosure may be employed to optimize optical pumping and ensure high modal gain in the active region of an optically pumped laser source by establishing an optical coupling gap such that the pump waveguide mode field overlaps the active gain region associated with the signal waveguide. The optical coupling gap is tailored to be sufficiently large to ensure that a significant active gain region length is required for absorption and sufficiently small to ensure that the pump waveguide mode field P overlaps the active gain region. In accordance with one embodiment of the present disclosure, the pump waveguide core is displaced from the signal waveguide core by an optical coupling gap g in a lateral direction that is approximately perpendicular to the optical pumping axis. A decayed intensity portion of the pump waveguide mode field extends into the active gain region to optically pump the active gain region and form an optical signal propagating along the longitudinal optical signal axis of the signal waveguide core.

    摘要: The present invention relates generally to wavelength conversion devices and laser projection systems incorporating the same. According to one embodiment of the present invention, wavelength conversion devices are provided without limitation of their field of use to laser projection systems. For example, the wavelength conversion device may comprise an axial waveguide portion and a pair of lateral planar waveguide portions confined between a pair of relatively low index cladding layers. The effective index of refraction in the axial waveguide portion of the waveguide region and the effective index of refraction in the lateral planar waveguide portions of the waveguide region are established such that the relatively low intensity laterally distributed parasitic light is characterized by a scattering angle θ that is at least as large as the beam divergence angle of the relatively high intensity light propagating in the axial waveguide portion.
