摘要: Techniques for preventing an integrated circuit (IC) from overheating are described herein. According to one embodiment, an exemplary process includes detecting whether a temperature of an integrated circuit (IC) exceeds a threshold independent of an operating state of the IC, and removing at least a portion of a power from the IC if the temperature of the IC exceeds the threshold. Other methods and apparatuses are also described.

摘要: In one embodiment, the present invention includes a method for determining if a system is compatible with an upgrade to a hardware resource of the system, receiving instructions from a remote server to upgrade the hardware resource if the system is compatible, and programming the hardware resource based on the instructions. In one such embodiment, the hardware resource may be programmed via programmable fuses to enable circuitry of the hardware resource. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

摘要: A method and circuit for linear space target address generation for a relative branch is described. A selection signal is generated to be used in generating a linear space target address. The generation of the linear space target address includes generating multiple corrected target addresses and selecting the linear space target address from the multiple corrected target addresses using the selection signal. The process of generating multiple corrected target addresses includes generating first, second, and third corrected target addresses. The first corrected target address is generated using an address and a displacement. The second corrected target address is generated using the address, displacement, and a second adder correction value. The third corrected target address is generated using the address, displacement, and a third adder correction value. A multiplexer outputs the first, second, or third corrected target address using the selection signal. The selection signal is generated in selection logic using a segment wrap indication and a displacement sign, where the segment wrap indication is generated based on a displacement least significant bits, a segment base, and a least significant address.

摘要: An apparatus, a method, and a system for a fuse cell array are disclosed herein. A plurality of fuse cells are arranged in an array. One or more fuse cells include a pair of fuse devices to output a pair of voltages, respectively, wherein the pair of fuse devices are redundantly programmed. A sense amplifier is coupled to the plurality of fuse cells to read the pair of voltage outputs from each of the plurality of fuse cells, respectively. A comparator circuit is coupled to the sense amplifier to compare the pair of voltage outputs for each of the plurality of fuse cells and to output the compared result.

摘要: Described is an apparatus having a non-linear control to manage power supply droop at an output of a voltage regulator. The apparatus comprises: a first inductor for coupling to a load; a capacitor, coupled to the first inductor, and for coupling to the load; a first high-side switch couple to the first inductor; a first low-side switch coupled to the first inductor; a bridge controller to control when to turn on and off the first high-side and first low-side switches; and a non-linear control (NLC) unit to monitor output voltage on the load, and to cause the bridge controller to turn on the first high-side switch and turn off the first low-side switch when a voltage droop is detected on the load.
