摘要： The invention relates to the manufacture of crosslinked polymers which contain imide groups by reacting polymaleimides with alkenylphenols or alkenylphenol ethers, preferably at temperatures of 100.degree. to 250.degree. C. The reaction mixture optionally also contains polymerization catalysts. The manufacture of the polymers is as a rule carried out with simultaneous shaping. Shaped articles (for example castings), laminates, adhesive bonds and foams can be manufactured in this way. It is also possible to carry out the reaction in solution.

摘要： A polymerizable composition comprises a mixture of(A) a substance having at least one allyl- or methallyl-substituted bicyclo[2.2.1]-hept-5-ene-2,3-dicarboxylic acid imide residue, and(B) a substance having at least one polymerizable residue of formulaCH.sub.2 =C(R.sup.1)COO-- I where R.sup.1 denotes a hydrogen atom or a methyl group.Typically, (A) is bis[4-(allylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene-2,3-dicarboximidophenyl)]methane and (B) is an acrylate or methacrylate of a polyhydric alcohol. The compositions can be photopolymerized or heat-cured. They are suitable for use in prepreg manufacture and in image formation.

C., to a carbonylated acetophenone/formaldehyde resin, hydrogenating said carbonylated resin to a modified hydroxylated acetophenone/formaldehyde resin, subsequently converting said resin with epichlorohydrin, in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst, into the corresponding polychlorohydrin ether, and dehydrochlorinating said ether with a base, are suitable for use as epoxy resins, for example for the preparation of powder coating compositions having good resistance to chemicals and good adhesion.

The use of the catalyst makes it possible to carry out curing at relatively low temperatures and within short reaction times. The polymers can be used, in particular, for the preparation of heat-resistant composite materials and they can also be used as electrical insulating materials and whirl-sintered powder paints.

摘要： A coating composition for paper is provided, which composition consists of an aqueous preparation containing at least a polymeric binder, an inorganic pigment, and a water-insoluble urea-formaldehyde polycondensation product from 1 mole of urea and 1.3 to 2 moles, of formaldehyde, which product is in a highly dispersed form and has a mean particle diameter of 3 to 6 microns, and a specific BET surface urea of 3 to 12 m.sup.2 /g.Papers coated with these compositions exhibit, in addition to an enhanced degree of whiteness and equally good gloss and improved opacity and smoothness, above all better printability.
