    摘要: An epoxy resin composition is disclosed, which comprises the following elements:(A) a bifunctional epoxy resin;(B) a trifunctional epoxy resin;(C) a phenolic compound represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein X.sub.1, X.sub.2, X.sub.3, X.sub.4, X.sub.5, X.sub.6, X.sub.7, X.sub.8, X.sub.9, X.sub.10, X.sub.11, X.sub.12, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and(D) 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl sulfone or 3,3'-diaminodiphenyl sulfone, wherein the molar ratio of epoxy groups in element (A) to those in element (B) is in the range of from 1/4.0 to 1/0.1, element (C) is used in an amount that satisfies the condition:1/0.9.ltoreq.(A+B)/C.ltoreq.1/0.1and element (D) is used in an amount that satisfies the condition:1/1.3.ltoreq.(A+B-C)/D.ltoreq.1/0.8wherein A represents the number of epoxy groups by moles in element (A), B represents the number of epoxy groups by moles in element (B), C represents the number of phenolic hydroxyl groups by moles in element (C), and D represents the number of NH groups by moles in element (D).A prepreg for composite materials is also disclosed, wherein the prepreg comprises reinforcing fibers impregnated with the epoxy resin composition described above.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an epoxy resin composition for FRP that will be used for fishing rods, golf club shafts, and the like, a prepreg that is an intermediate material made up of an epoxy resin composition combined with reinforcing fibers, and a tubular molded article obtained using it. The epoxy resin composition for FRP of the present invention comprises (A) a bisphenol A-type epoxy resin, (B) an epoxy resin having oxazolidone rings, and (C) a curing agent. By using the epoxy resin composition for FRP of the present invention, a prepreg quite excellent in handleability and a tubular molded article improved in flexural strength in the longitudinal direction and crushing strength in the diametrical direction can be obtained.

    摘要: A photocatalyst produced from an easily available, relatively low-cost silicon oxide material is disclosed which is capable of decomposing environmental pollutants with improved efficiency. The photocatalyst is produced by pulverizing an artificial crystal, specifically machining waste thereof, into powder particles having a particle diameter of not more than 3.0 mm and then immersing the particles into a solution containing a hydrogen fluoride for activation. Environmental pollutants such as nitrogen oxides (NOx) and harmful organic compounds can be efficiently decomposed by coming into contact with this photocatalyst while being irradiated with activation light under oxidizing conditions.
