摘要: A diesel oxidation catalyst article is provided, which includes a substrate carrier having a plurality of channels adapted for gas flow and a catalyst composition positioned to contact an exhaust gas passing through each channel. The catalyst composition includes a platinum (Pt) component and a sulfur (S)-containing component impregnated onto a refractory metal oxide support and is effective to abate hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide, as well as oxidize NO to NO2 in the exhaust gas. Methods of making and using the catalyst article are also provided, as well as emission treatment systems comprising the catalyst article.

摘要: A combustible gas from carbon black production is utilized in a gas engine by adding an oxygen-containing gas to the combustible gas, passing said mixed gas over a selective catalyst, which is active for oxidizing H2S to SO2 but substantially inactive for oxidation of CO, H2 and other hydrocarbons with less than 4 C-atoms, passing the converted gas through an SO2 removal step, and passing the cleaned gas to a gas engine or to an energy recovery boiler. This way, the tail gas from carbon black production, which is normally combusted in a CO boiler or incinerated, can be utilized to good effect.

摘要: An oxidation catalyst for treating an exhaust gas from a diesel engine comprises: a first washcoat region for oxidising carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HCs), wherein the first washcoat region comprises a first platinum group metal (PGM) and a first support material, and wherein the first washcoat region does not comprise manganese or an oxide thereof; a second washcoat region for oxidising nitric oxide (NO), wherein the second washcoat region comprises platinum (Pt), manganese (Mn) and a second support material comprising a refractory metal oxide, which is silica-alumina or alumina doped with silica in a total amount of 0.5 to 45% by weight of the alumina, wherein the platinum (Pt) is disposed or supported on the second support material and the manganese (Mn) is disposed or supported on the second support material; and a substrate having an inlet end and an outlet end, and wherein the first washcoat region is a first washcoat layer and the second washcoat region is a second washcoat layer, and the second washcoat layer is disposed on the first washcoat layer; and wherein when the oxidation catalyst comprises a hydrocarbon adsorbent, which is a zeolite, then the first washcoat region further comprises the hydrocarbon adsorbent

摘要: The present invention addresses the problem and purpose of providing a honeycomb structure that has a sufficiently high strength and is excellent in endurance, and a catalyst for cleaning an exhaust gas using the same that is excellent in resistance to sulfur oxide (SOX). The honeycomb structure of the present invention is one consists of a flat inorganic fiber sheet comprising an inorganic fiber sheet having supported thereon an inorganic binder and zeolite, and a corrugated inorganic fiber sheet comprising an inorganic fiber sheet having supported thereon the same inorganic binder and zeolite, which are alternately combined with each other, wherein it is characterized in that the zeolite has a particle diameter (i.e., a median particle diameter, D50) of from 0.5 to 10.0 μm.

摘要: Methods for the combined elimination of both ammonia and lower alkanes and/or hydrogen, which are contained in one or more waste gas streams in an industrial plant, are disclosed herein. The method is effectuated by combined oxidation and reduction according to the reduction-oxidation process, wherein the ammonia and the lower alkanes and/or hydrogen are completely or partially reacted by chemical reaction to form nitrogen, carbon dioxide and water. The waste gas stream containing ammonia and lower alkanes and/or hydrogen is passed over one or more catalysts for the combined oxidation and reduction, and the oxygen content in the waste gas stream is set in such a way that ammonia and the lower alkanes and/or hydrogen are oxidized first in an oxidation zone to form nitrogen, carbon dioxide and water, and the nitrogen oxides resulting therefrom are subsequently reduced in a reduction zone to form elemental nitrogen.

摘要: A catalyst for treating fuel combustion exhaust, the catalyst comprising the following components: (i) an oxide support comprising silicon oxide, aluminum oxide, or combination of silicon and aluminum oxides; (ii) cerium oxide, zirconium oxide, or a combination of cerium and zirconium oxides in contact with said oxide support; and (iii) nanoparticles comprising elemental palladium or platinum in contact with at least component (ii), wherein said palladium or platinum is present in an amount of 0.1-4 wt. % by weight of the particles, and wherein surfaces of said nanoparticles of elemental palladium or palladium are exposed and accessible to said fuel combustion exhaust. Methods of producing and using the catalyst are also described.

摘要: An oxidation catalyst composite, methods, and systems for the treatment of exhaust gas emissions from a diesel engine are described. More particularly, described is an oxidation catalyst composite including a first oxidation material comprising a first refractory metal oxide support, a rare earth oxide, and palladium (Pd); a second oxidation material comprising a second refractory metal oxide, and platinum (Pt) and palladium (Pd); and a protective overlayer comprising a third refractory metal oxide, platinum (Pt) and, optionally, palladium (Pd), and a molecular sieve promoted with a metal selected from one or more of Cu, Fe, Co, Ni, Mn, V, and, Ag. The oxidation catalyst composite is sulfur tolerant.

摘要: A honeycomb structure includes a honeycomb structure body having a porous partition wall which cells and having a circumferential wall at an outer circumference thereof, and also includes a pair of electrodes on a side surface of the honeycomb structure body. An open frontal area of a center part is 0.70 to 0.95 times of that of an outer circumferential part, where the center part is defined as an area from a center of the honeycomb structure body to a position of 10% of a length from the center to the outer circumference in a direction toward the outer circumference in a cross-section orthogonal to the cells' extending direction, and the outer circumferential part is defined as an area from the outer circumference to a position of 10% of a length from the outer circumference to the center in a direction toward the center in the cross-section.

摘要: A filter incorporates a catalyst for the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) of NOx gases and removal of particulate matter from the exhaust gas of a lean burn combustion engine, wherein the catalyst includes a vanadate component having an alkaline earth metal, a transition metal, a rare earth metal, or combinations thereof. The vanadate component may be iron vanadate. The filter includes a supported vanadate component disposed on a wall-flow filter. The method of making the filter includes applying an aqueous mixture of the supported vanadate component as a washcoat on the wall-flow filter or extruding a composition containing the supported vanadate component. The method of treating exhaust gases from an engine includes contacting the exhaust gas with the catalyst including the vanadate component.
