    摘要: Various embodiments are generally directed to techniques for assigning portions of a task among individual cores of one or more processor components of each processing device of a distributed processing system. An apparatus to assign processor component cores to perform task portions includes a processor component; an interface to couple the processor component to a network to receive data that indicates available cores of base and subsystem processor components of processing devices of a distributed processing system, the subsystem processor components made accessible on the network through the base processor components; and a core selection component for execution by the processor component to select cores from among the available cores to execute instances of task portion routines of a task based on a selected balance point between compute time and power consumption needed to execute the instances of the task portion routines.     摘要: This invention provides compositions, methods and kits for the diagnosis and treatment of cancers expressing a GLI polypeptide, and in particular a GLI1, GLI2 or GLI3 polypeptide. The invention provides small molecule compounds mimicking the transcriptional activation domain of a GLI polypeptide. The small molecule inhibitors of the invention specifically block the activator function of a GLI polypeptide, but not the repressor function of GLI3.

    摘要: A pressure cavity is durable, stable, and biocompatible and configured in such a way that it constitutes pico to nanoliter-scale volume. The pressure cavity is hermetically sealed from the exterior environment while maintaining the ability to communicate with other devices. Micromachined, hermetically-sealed sensors are configured to receive power and return information through direct electrical contact with external electronics. The pressure cavity and sensor components disposed therein are hermetically sealed from the ambient in order to reduce drift and instability within the sensor. The sensor is designed for harsh and biological environments, e.g. intracorporeal implantation and in vivo use. Additionally, novel manufacturing methods are employed to construct the sensors.

    摘要: A sensor has a sensor housing defining a cavity therein. A first wall partially defining the cavity is deflectable under a physiologically relevant range of pressures. An integrated circuit chip bearing electronics is fixedly mounted within the cavity. A capacitor comprises first and second capacitor plates in generally parallel, spaced-apart relation. The first capacitor plate is physically coupled to the deflectable wall so as to move as the wall deflects, and the second capacitor plate is carried by the chip. The second capacitor plate is in electrical communication with the input pad of the chip.
