The device includes a floor-carriable portion and a door-carriable portion magnetically co-operable with the floor-carriable portion to stop the door opening past a communication position at which the door is positioned to guard the doorway and ajar to enable the communication via the doorway. At least one of the floor-carriable portion and the door-carriable portion is reconfigurable to allow the door to open past the communication position.

摘要: A latch arrangement for a sliding wing has a latching member that is movable by magnetic force from first position in which it is at least partially retracted within a latch housing, to a second position in which it extends at least partially out of the housing, to be received in a strike. The strike comprises a magnet or ferromagnetic arrangement to attract the latching member into a receiving and engaging formation of the strike when the sliding wing is located at or adjacent the strike.

摘要: A latch assembly comprising: a latch operable to adopt a latched condition and an unlatched condition; a magnet imparting a magnetic field; a sensor adapted to sense the magnetic field; the latch, magnet and sensor being configured such that a change in the condition of the latch effects a variance in the magnetic field sensed by the sensor to distinguish between the latched condition and the unlatched condition, wherein the latch includes a latch member that is moveable relative to both the sensor and the magnet when the latch changes from the unlatched condition to the latched condition and the proximity of the latch member to the magnet changes the strength of the magnetic field sensed by the sensor.

摘要: A home appliance includes a main body having a storage compartment, a first door hingedly coupled to the main body that opens and closes the storage compartment, and a second door that rotates relative to the first door. The second door includes a latch receptor. The first door includes a locking device with a magnetic component and a latch member. In a state in which the first door closes the storage compartment of the main body, separating the magnetic component from the main body by a first distance, the locking device disengages the latch member from the latch receptor of the second door. In a state in which the first door opens the storage compartment of the main body, separating the magnetic component from the main body by greater than the first distance, the locking device engages the latch member into the latch receptor of the second door.

摘要: Magnetic safety gate latch assembly including a first subassembly and a second subassembly. The first subassembly includes: a vertically-oriented pool latch tube; a lift mechanism coupled to the top end of the pool latch tube; a shaft vertically oriented within the pool latch tube, coupled to the lift mechanism, and having a lower end including a helical thread; a magnet and magnet housing, the magnet housing coupled to the helical threading of the shaft; and a bottom cover coupled to the lower end of the pool latch tube and enclosing the magnet housing, the bottom cover including an aperture on a vertical side facing a latch pin housing, the aperture positioned to expose the magnet. The second subassembly includes the latch pin housing; a ferromagnetic latch pin; and a magnetic latch pin guide coupled to the latch pin housing and slidably enclosing at least a portion of the latch pin.

摘要: A magnetic self-latching device for a gate has a main body with handles on either side for operation or has an arrangement to be remotely actuated. A latching body has a high strength magnet usually provided at the bottom of a cavity which defines a latching shoulder. The latching body is adapted to be fixed to a gate post. The main body, with its housing, can be mounted on the gate frame and incorporates a latch pin which, in the door-closed position, is displaced by magnetic attraction to an extended latching position and against the biasing of a return spring. The gate cannot be opened until actuation of the mechanism occurs, for example by rotating a handle to retract the pin against the magnetic force; the gate can then be swung open. When the handle is released, the biasing spring retains the latch pin in a retracted position.

摘要: A locking mechanism includes a hooking component, an engagement structure, and an actuation component. The hooking component is disposed in a casing of a portable electronic apparatus. The engagement structure and the actuation component are disposed in another casing of the portable electronic apparatus. The actuation component is slidable relatively to the casing and includes a magnetic portion. When the magnetic portion approaches a hooking part of the hooking component, the hooking part is rotated out of the casing by a magnetic effect to hook the engagement structure; when the actuation component slides such that the magnetic portion is moved away from the hooking part, because a force generated by the magnetic effect to the hooking part decreases, a resilient part of the hooking component can drive the hooking part to disengaged from the engagement structure to rotate into the casing.

摘要: A magnetic gate latch opens and secures closed a portal or gate employing improvements that favors continued smooth operation and that minimizes freeze-up during winter. The improvements enable confined movement of the locking pin within a hollow cavity at the bottom of a lifting rod. The locking pin includes a flange extending outward from around the locking pin to divide the locking pin into an upper portion that slides within the hollow cavity and a lower portion that confines a spring. An elliptical aperture in the upper portion surrounds a rivet that limits locking and unlocking movement of the locking pin. The spring pushes up on the flange to bias the locking pin in an upward, unlocked position and hold it there after the gate is opened.

摘要: The present invention provides a securable furniture arrangement comprising a second furniture item, moveably mounted between a first position away from a first furniture item to a second position nearer the first furniture item, and a securing mechanism to secure the second furniture item in the second position, the securing mechanism comprising a first magnetic element and a first securing member and a second securing member, moveably mounted between a deactivated position and an activated position, and comprising a second magnetic element, wherein, when the second furniture item is moved towards the second position, the second magnetic element is moved nearer the first magnetic element, causing, by means of the increased magnetic force, the second magnetic element to move the second securing member from the deactivated position to the activated position, thereby securing the second furniture item in the second position.
