    摘要: A load slot bearing system for a mounting system for a gearbox on a geared turbofan engine includes a load slot bearing assembly having a cobalt alloy inner member and a precipitation-hardenable alloy outer member. The inner member defines an outer engagement surface and the outer member defines an inner engagement surface slidably and rotatably engaged with the inner engagement surface. One of the outer engagement surface or the inner engagement surface has boron diffused therein. The load slot bearing system includes first and second slots extending inward from a face defined by the outer member, the second slot being positioned generally diametrically opposite the first slot. A first element is located in the bore of the inner member of the load slot bearing assembly and is connected to the inner member. A second element is connected to the outer member of the load slot bearing assembly.

    摘要: A mechanical linkage for attaching a first load-carrying member to a second load-carrying member includes an elongated race that defines an axis and at least one ball. The elongated race is formed with an aperture that is surrounded by two opposed faces and two opposed semi-circular surfaces. Importantly, each face is formed with a channel that extends in a direction that is substantially parallel to the direction of the axis of the race. The ball is formed with a cylindrical thru-hole that passes through the center of the ball to allow the ball to be attached to the first load-carrying member while disposed within the aperture of the race. The race holds the ball but allows for limited rotation of the ball and translational movement of the ball along the axis of the race. The race includes an extension for attachment to the second load-carrying member.

    摘要: A motor mount for a motorcycle motor has one end attached to the motorcycle frame and the other to the motor. Intermediate the ends is a socket having a reciprocal piston therein. The piston is held within the socket by a threaded plug having an opening therein to allow the extension of a piston rod to engage one of the motor mount ends. The opposite end of the motor mount is attached to one end of the socket. Each end of the piston within the socket is abutted by an elastomeric member for purposes of dampening vibration and minimizing wear on the ends of the mount.
