    Abstract: A support platform supports a mattress. The support platform includes legs. Force sensors are coupled to the legs or to the support platform. The force sensors are configured to sense a force applied to each leg or support platform. A controller is configured to receive at least one force stream from at least one of the force sensors. The at least one force stream represents a force sensed by the force sensor. The controller is configured to, in responses to receiving the at least one force stream, determine a sleep parameter from the following group of sleep parameters: bed presence, weight, heart rate, respiration rate, and motions. The controller is configured to output at least one or more of those parameters to an end user.

The subject support includes a tabletop (620) that positions a subject or object at at least two different positions in the examination region. A deflection of the tabletop is different at the at least two different positions. The subject support further includes a base (508) that positions the tabletop vertically in the examination region. A deflection delta predictor (522) predicts a deflection delta of the tabletop between the at least two different positions. The predicted deflection delta is used to correct for the deflection delta.

    Abstract: A person support apparatus includes one or more thermal image sensors whose outputs are analyzed to perform one or more functions. Such functions include automatically turning on a brake, automatically turning on one or more lights, detecting when a patient associated with the person support apparatus has fallen, enabling a propulsion system of the patient support apparatus to be used, automatically controlling one or more environmental controls, and/or automatically arming an exit detection system after entry of a patient onto the person support apparatus. Multiple thermal images may be generated from multiple sensors to generate stereoscopic thermal images of portions of the person support apparatus and its surroundings.

    Abstract: A crib having a child monitoring system. The crib comprises a frame and a base member that can be positioned at various heights on the frame. Further, the crib includes monitoring devices for monitoring a child within the crib. The monitoring devices may include a video camera, a weight sensor for determining if the child is positioned within the crib, and a breathing monitor. The crib may also include an audio system with one or more speakers for playing music or soothing sounds, and may further include a nightlight controlled by a motion sensor. A user input device, such as a touchscreen display is provided for operating the various features of the crib, wherein the input device is positioned on the crib frame. A docking station is also provided that is in wireless communication with the child monitoring system, wherein the docking station can receive a mobile electronic device therein.
