    Abstract: A method of operating a switching power converter is provided wherein the power converter inclues includes an inductor and switches and is operable in a modulation mode in which a current through the inductor is modulated by operating the power converter in a repeating sequence of predetermined switching states. The method includes controlling a current waveform of the current through the inductor in the modulation mode by controlling the transition between the switching states of the sequence. The current waveform is controlled to include within one period of the current waveform a first section of rising current corresponding to a first switching state, a second section corresponding to a second switching state, wherein the second section of the current waveform does not reach or cross a zero value of the current, and a third section of falling current corresponding to a third switching state.

    Abstract: A tracker module includes an integrated circuit, a first capacitor and a second capacitor arranged in or on a module laminate. The integrated circuit includes at least one switch in a switched-capacitor circuit and at least one switch in a supply modulator. The switched-capacitor circuit is configured to generate a plurality of discrete voltages. The supply modulator is configured to generate an output voltage by selectively switching among the plurality of discrete voltages based on a control signal. The first capacitor is a flying capacitor of the switched-capacitor circuit. The second capacitor is a smoothing capacitor of the switched-capacitor circuit. In a plan view of the module laminate, the first capacitor is arranged closer to the integrated circuit than the capacitor.

    Abstract: There is provided an AC-DC converter circuit (100) for high power charging of an electrical battery. The circuit comprises an input rectifier comprising a first node and a second node. The input rectifier (110) is configured to receive an AC voltage at the first node (112) and provide a rectified voltage at the second node (114). The circuit further comprises a first transistor (120), comprising a first gate node (122), a first source node (124), and a first drain node (126). The circuit further comprises an output rectifier (150) connected to the second source node or the first source node. The circuit further comprises an output electronic filter (160) connected to the second source node or an output node (151) of the output rectifier. An AC-DC converter device, a method for charging an electrical battery, and a regenerative braking system is also provided.
