Abstract: Electrical balance duplexers (EBDs). An example EBD includes a differential TX port coupled to a first coil, a differential RX port coupled to a second coil, a differential ANT port coupled to a third coil, and a differential BAL port coupled to a fourth coil. In some cases, the first and second coils are arranged such that magnetic flux cancellation is achieved between the two, thus isolating the TX port from the RX port. In some cases, DC isolation exists between the coils. During operation, the first coil may electromagnetically couple with the third coil and the fourth coil, and the second coil may electromagnetically couple with the third coil and the fourth coil. In some example cases, the first and second coils are each in their own metallization layer, and the third and fourth coils are in the same layer.

Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure relate to hybrid acoustic LC filter with harmonic suppression. The hybrid acoustic LC filter includes a hybrid passive/acoustic and a non-acoustic LC filter cascaded with the hybrid passive/acoustic filter. The hybrid passive/acoustic filter can be configured to filter a radio frequency signal. The hybrid passive/acoustic filter can include acoustic resonators and a non-acoustic passive component. The non-acoustic LC filter can be configured to suppress a harmonic of the radio frequency signal. The non-acoustic LC filter can be a low pass filter or a harmonic notch filter, for example. Related multiplexers, wireless communication devices, and methods are disclosed.

Abstract: A differential combiner circuit (200) comprises three ports each has two terminals (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b). The differential combiner circuit (200) further comprises a first sub-circuit comprising a first inductor (L1) connected between the first terminals (1a, 2a) of the first and second ports, and a first capacitor (C1) connected between the first terminals (2a, 3a) of the second and third ports; a second sub-circuit comprising a second inductor (L2) connected between the second terminals (1b, 2b) of the first and second ports, and a second capacitor (C2) connected between the second terminals (2b, 3b) of the second and third ports. The differential combiner circuit (200) further comprises a third capacitor (C3) connected between the first and second terminals (1a, 1b) of the first port, a third inductor (L3) connected between the first and second terminals (3a, 3b) of the third port; a first resistor (R1) connected between the first terminal (1a) of the first port and the second terminal (3b) of the third port; and a second resistor (R2) connected between the second terminal (1b) of the first port and the first terminal (3a) of the third port.

Abstract: Carrier aggregation systems and methods are disclosed. In some embodiments, a radio-frequency circuit can include a first signal path configured to present an approximately zero impedance to a first out-of-band signal that is out of a first frequency band. The radio-frequency circuit can further include a coupling circuit coupled to the first signal path and configured such that the approximately zero impedance presented by the first signal path to the first out-of-band signal results in the first out-of-band signal being substantially excluded from the first signal path. The radio-frequency circuit can further include a second signal path configured to present an approximately zero impedance to a second out-of-band signal that is out of a second frequency band.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a telecommunications device. The telecommunications device includes an electrical balance duplexer connected to an output node of a transmission path, an input node of a receive path, an antenna, and a tunable impedance. The electrical balance duplexer is configured to isolate the transmission path from the receive path by tuning the tunable impedance. The telecommunications device also includes a tuning circuit for tuning the tunable impedance. The tuning circuit includes amplitude detectors for measuring voltage amplitudes, phase detectors for measuring voltage phase differences, an impedance sensor for measuring an input impedance of the electrical balance duplexer, and a processing unit operatively connected to the detectors, the impedance sensor, and the tunable impedance. The processing unit is configured to calculate an optimized impedance value. The processing unit is also configured to tune the tunable impedance towards the optimized impedance value.

Abstract: A high-frequency module includes a wiring board, a first duplexer that separates a transmission signal and a reception signal in a first frequency band, and a second duplexer that separates a transmission signal and a reception signal in a second frequency band whose reception-side frequency band partially overlaps with a frequency band of a third-order harmonic of the first transmission signal. The first duplexer is disposed near a predetermined side on a first main surface of the wiring board, and the second duplexer is disposed near an opposite side opposing the predetermined side. An extended line extending from a first transmission terminal of the first duplexer and an extended line extending from a second reception terminal of the second duplexer are spaced away from each other.

Abstract: A radio-frequency module component includes a splitter/combiner and a shield case. The splitter/combiner includes a multilayer body, a common input/output electrode, a low-band input/output electrode, a high-band input/output electrode, and outer ground electrodes. The multilayer body includes insulating layers and electrode patterns stacked on each other, and side surfaces opposed to each other. The common input/output electrode is disposed on one of the side surfaces and a bottom surface of the multilayer body. The low-band input/output electrode and the high-band input/output electrode are disposed on another of the side surfaces and the bottom surface of the multilayer body. An additional side surface of the multilayer body opposes a side surface of the shield case in the closest proximity to each other.
