Abstract:
The present invention provides a system to dispense a liquid, contained in a cartridge, onto a substrate employing a dispensing system under control of a processor in data communication with a memory.
Abstract:
Fluid discharge device and method for intermittently discharging and feeding fluid in a constant amount with high speed and high precision, the fluid exemplified by various kinds of liquids such as adhesives, solder paste, fluorescent materials, electrode materials, greases, paints, hot melts, chemicals, foods and the like in production processes in the fields of electronic components, household electrical appliances, displays, and the like. By providing a fluid supply device for supplying the fluid to two surfaces that are moved relative to each other along a direction of a gap, a continuous flow supplied from the fluid supply device is converted into an intermittent flow by utilizing a pressure change due to a change in the gap of the relatively moving surfaces, while the intermittent discharge amount per dot is controlled by the rotational speed of the fluid supply device.
Abstract:
A process for the preparation of a membrane includes forming a porous substrate and then impregnating the porous substrate with a polymeric material. The porous substrate is made by first dispersing fibres in water to form a slurry, then depositing the slurry onto a mesh bed to form a fibre network, drying and compacting the fibre network, and, either before or after drying and compacting, applying to the fibre network a dispersion of a binder of silica and a fluorinated polymer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a resin composition for digital printing on a metallic material and a printing method using the resin composition. The resin composition comprises 40 to 70 wt % of at least one selected from acrylics, polyurethanes, polyvinyl alcohols and epoxy-based resins, 20 to 50 wt % of at least one diluent selected from methyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, ethyl acetate and toluene, 3 to 20 wt % of silica as a printing propriety imparting agent, 0.05 to 1 wt % of a wetting agent and 0.01 to 30 wt % of a curing agent. The resin composition can be applied directly to a metallic material through digital printing. Further, the resin composition is excellent in view of resolution, adhesivity and durability and allows printing processes to be shortened, thereby reducing costs.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for applying a uniformly-distributed pattern of stripes (8) on a component (6) of a large rotary machinery, such as an industrial generator. A method is provided that comprises measuring the circumferential area of the component (6) with a measuring element (14). The precise circumference is indicated and a desired number of pattern segments is determined. The circumference is divided by this number to produce equally spaced segments. This is then transferred to the rotor shaft (6) by marking on the measuring element (12) the number of segments and making a copy of the markings onto a second strip (14). These strips are then aligned on the circumferential area and cross strips (22) are placed at each of the segment marks (16). The segment areas not covered by the cross strips (24) are then painted in a color that is optically distinguishable from the non-painted regions. An optical probe (2) is then able to scan the stripes to detect torsional forces in the rotor shaft.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a procedure for applying relief inscriptions in plastic material to a substrate, characterized in that it comprises: a step in which a plastic material of variable viscosity is deposited in real time in a single operation, only at those places that form the relief inscription, at a sufficient temperature to ensure a physical-chemical bond with the material comprising the substrate, a cooling step for the material deposited.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing thin homogeneous layers with the help of screen printing technology. According to said method, a low viscosity print medium is applied either continuously or discontinuously to a substrate to be printed by means of a flexible screen belt that is guided on at least two rollers. The invention also relates to a device that is specifically designed for carrying out the inventive method in a preferred embodiment in addition to the use of the method and the device as an integral part of a process for producing polymer electronic components.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a film-coated article coated by a film having silicon oxide as a main component, in which recesses and projections conferring super hydrophobicity or super hydrophilicity are formed. This film includes minute projections and columnar projections, and the columnar projections are formed by local growth of the minute projections in a thickness direction of the film or formed with a plurality of minute particles constituting the minute projections laminated locally.
Abstract:
A laser processing apparatus comprises a laser oscillator for producing a laser beam to selectively remove part of a substrate to be processed, a scanning system for applying the laser beam to an arbitrary position of the substrate and incident means for applying the laser beam to the substrate substantially at right angle.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for producing a biomimetic membrane, a biomimetic membrane and the applications of said membrane. Said biomimetic membrane (10) has one or several through pores (24) and is characterised in that it is formed of at least two different micro-machinable materials one of which forms the wall (23) of said pore(s), whereas the other or others of said materials form(s) the remainder of said membrane. Applications: performing studies on the dynamic and functional properties of biological membranes; manufacture of biocatalysis microsystems and detection or dosing of substances.
