Abstract: An electrical connector for airbag restraint systems comprises an elongated housing aligned on a longitudinal axis, surrounding at least one elongated terminal having a contact surface, a terminal support device, attached on the elongated housing and movable longitudinally along the elongated housing from an open position to a support position. The terminal support device increases the contact pressure of the contact surface to a counter-contact element when the connector is mated to a counter-connector and the terminal support device is in the support position.

The fuel injector includes a damping chamber in fluid communication with the accumulator volume through a fluid passage, the damping chamber serving to reduce pressure wave activity within the accumulator volume.

Abstract: A fuel injector includes a nozzle having at least one nozzle outlet. A valve needle is moveable with respect to a valve needle seating through a range of movement between a closed position and an open position to control fuel delivery through the at least one nozzle outlet. The movement of the nozzle needle is controlled by fuel pressure within a control chamber. The injector has first and second nozzle control valves for controlling fuel flow into and out of the control chamber to pressurise and depressurise the control chamber, respectively. The first nozzle control valve can operate selectively to place the control chamber in fluid communication with a fuel drain or to place the control chamber in fluid communication with a high pressure supply line. The second nozzle control valve can operate selectively to place the control chamber in fluid communication with a fuel drain.

Abstract: An electrical contact terminal formed of sheet metal, an electrical connector comprising the terminal, and a method to manufacture the terminal is presented. The terminal includes a longitudinally extending cavity for receiving an electrical contact pin therein and a contact beam having a contact face arranged at least partially inside the cavity. The contact beam is configured to be deflected by the electrical contact pin to apply a contact force to the contact pin when the electrical contact pin is received in the cavity. The terminal further includes a flat support wall oriented substantially parallel to the insertion direction of the electrical contact pin. An aperture is formed proximate to an edge of the support wall to form a support spring element in the support wall. The support spring element is configured to engage with the contact beam when the same is deflected, thereby increasing contact force.

Abstract: A non-return valve assembly for a high-pressure fuel injection system is disclosed. The valve comprises a valve chamber defined in part by a first body and in part by a second body and defining a valve chamber wall, an inlet passage formed in the first body and opening into the valve chamber at a valve seat defined by the first body, an outlet passage, and a valve ball received within the valve chamber and engageable with the valve seat so as to interrupt fluid flow from the outlet passage to the inlet passage through the valve chamber. The valve chamber wall comprises a plurality of guide portions to guide the valve ball in substantially linear movement within the valve chamber.
