    摘要: Disclosed are ceramic honeycomb articles, which are composed predominately of a crystalline phase cordierite composition. The ceramic honeycomb articles possess a microstructure characterized by a unique combination of relatively high porosity between 42% and 56%, and relatively narrow pore size distribution wherein less than 15% of the total porosity has a pore diameter less than 10 μm, less than 20% of the total porosity has a pore diameter greater than 30 μm, and dbreadth≦1.50 wherein dbreadth=(d90−d10)/d50. The articles exhibits high thermal durability and high filtration efficiency coupled with low pressure drop across the filter. Such ceramic articles are particularly well suited for filtration applications, such as diesel exhaust filters or DPFs. Also disclosed is a method for manufacturing the ceramic article wherein the pore former is preferably potato starch having a median particle diameter greater than 40 μm.

    摘要: The embodiments of the present invention relate to the general area of the Field Programmable Gate Arrays, and, in particular to the architecture and the structure of the building blocks of the Field Programmable Gate Arrays. The proposed logic units, as separate units or cluster of units, which are mainly comprised of look-up tables, multiplexers, and a latch, implement functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and can perform as shift registers, finite state machines, multiplexers, accumulators, counters, multi-level random logic, and look-up tables, among other functions. Having two outputs, the embodiments of the logic unit can operate in split-mode and perform two separate logic and/or arithmetic functions at the same time. Clusters of the proposed logic units, which utilize local interconnections instead of traditional routing channels, add to efficiency, speed, and reduce required real estate.

    摘要: The invention is directed to the preparation of vinyl sulfide compounds of general formula —(—R1—S—R4C═CR5—R3—S—)n—(—R2—S—R4C═CR5—R3—S—)m, where m and n are integers in the range of 1-1000, are formed by the addition of a dithiol compound of general formula HS—R1—SH to an acetylenic compound of general formula HC≡C—R3—S—R2≡S—R3—C—CH2. These vinyl sulfide compounds can be homopolymerized or copolymerized with second monomers, oligomers or polymers that are capable of reacting with their carbon-carbon double bond. The vinyl sulfide compounds have a high refractive index (1.60 or higher at 632 nm) and can be used to make optical telecommunication elements and devices. They are soluble in selected solvents and such solutions can be applied to substrates by various methods such as spin coating, dipping, spraying and other methods known in the art.
